The number one problem in society is that some people are trying to do what only God can do. You can't fix people. Only God can do that. Never put yourself into a vulnerable predicament. As far as people are concerned, just pray 🙏🏾 for them and move on. Just let go and let God handle it.

Dude this is truth. I was financially mentally and physically ready to live the family life and raise children the right way but my spouse came from a broken home with years of trauma now im living that nightmare because of her and her families trauma and myself and my children are suffering from it.

You‘re right! But unfortunately this soyciety is cooked and beyond fixing To much damage has been done, beyond repair. Be the best version of yourself and do the right thing, educate yourself and keep going and surround yourself only with few select people

It should be illegal for a majority of people who have kids to have them. Should need to qualify

I never realized growing up in grade school how many people are traumatized from broken homes. It wasn’t until I reached adulthood and some years after that I started to see it. The cycles of abuse these now adults still do, like high school never ended. Their patterns never changed. The narcissism, the delusions of grandeur, the untethering to reality. An entire generation with Peter Pan syndrome, and they don’t actively even try to fix it. It’s hard now to relate to people my age. Because they are perpetually damaged children. And it’s only getting worse it seems.

Yes they are missing the value of relationships marriage to one person and the belief of growing a family together without the idea of divorce that's what's missing.

Re: what people think: They will talk behind your back if you step out of line. There is no one out there worth impressing, ultimately. We should impress ourselves and contribute to the world. There are many ways of contributing. When a human being ultimately passes away, he should be able to feel that he did pretty good. It doesn't matter if people are spitting on his grave. (Although that's unlikely to happen if he was actually pretty good). I'm not advocating for a smug self-serving life. People serving for something to cling onto, may feel a need to be remembered as a good person, but this matters not at all. In a different society I may feel differently. Right now I want to excel at saving for retirement and a few skills like piano, singing, whatever. For myself. This is art. Perhaps art exists to honor God. I like the notion. My mom never has anything good to say about my father, so why would she say a good thing about me if I pass before her? The reality is of course that she feels a need to forever justify divorcing him, and she would rather not ever admit any positive aspect about him. But as her adult son, I find it a bit strange. But women are children, so there you go! Nah man, I'm about done with it all. Let other people be other people, and we will let ourselves be ourselves. Even if we are great, they may instead of celebrating us, choose to envy us. Typically, strangers will appreciate us more than those we grew up with. Well, now I am paraphrasing you I believe! Maybe some dude you've never met who somehow understands you. We are chosen ones, and we should help heal those around us, or give up trying if it's just futile. We can keep leaving breadcrumbs towards enlightenment, but we cannot repair them the way we'd repair a car or a computer. If people in our life refuse to comport with reality the way we do, then they are not worthy participants in our personal life story. I don't hate most people I've met, I just think they're a drag. And some are so broken, it's like an NPC that was programmed by a prankster. Solace simplicity. Alone I may feel closer to death at times, but I am simultaneously standing in life. It is better to be whole and pure than divided and corrupted by a myriad of chaotic influences from the troubled people around us.

Life is a struggle right now. People can't afford bills that are increasing and working age is going up. How are going bring up kids if you're are financially living pay check to pay check and you have a mortgage which is not a asset. My father had this strong view you get a job and a mortgage, without thinking if goes wrong. My father turned nasty because he could not switch off the working life it consumed him he just flipped and became very irritated and harsh. The workplace is not real life, you will be making your kids miserable and hating the world. We don't consider being peaceful withour selves instead we follow trends.

All true, and even if I had enough money + I had worked on myself to become the ultimate husband and father, then I'd still be missing some basics: - Homeschooling is important or even necessary, but even illegal in some places in the world. - Rural living may benefit family integrity, compared to just staying in an urban shoebox. On a real farm, me and my wife would have various important work tasks that would contribute to mutual appreciation. She cooks and does some farming, I handle heavy lifting, repairs and all kinds of stuff. Even if we optimize everything, the chance of divorce maybe is still significant. Eternal Love is not some automatic thing. Men and women are attracted to all kinds of things in the opposite gender, including fertility markers (beauty), intelligence and resources (money). Knowing when you've found the one true unicorn, is a hard thing to know unfortunately. A woman can pretend to love me for years before finally changing her mind. A woman will laugh at a man's jokes at one point in his life and it will feel totally authentic, and then later she'll stop laughing. Maybe exceptions exist, but it's uncommon compared to failed relationships.

I wonder if the differences in world view have anything to do with how dysfunctional relationships seem to be these days. Young men are most likely to be conservative well young women are most likely to be liberal. These two sides aren't fighting over higher or lower taxes anymore, they are fighting over differences in ideology and the fabric of life itself.
