Y’know, when I read his backstory I always thought it was funny like a Tom & Jerry kind of thing, except he got the Tom end of life, but this one hits more realistically. Like, I never really processed the weight behind his backstory because he would always laugh things off and my brain kind of just thought that “yeah, he’s definitely laughed off his own getting shipwrecked.”
