I really like your recommendation Alex on the driver swing of "One and Through!" Rhythm and Tempo definitely are needed in any golf swing for it to be successful! I am definitely going to be trying this out! Well Done Alex!! Keep up the good work!!

Great video Alex over last 2 games my driver has let me down as I’ve been topping the ball again which I haven’t done in tee shots with my driver for ages. This video could well explain part of my problem and with the other must be the way I’m addressing the ball. Will let you know how I get on in my next game this weekend.

Thanks Alex been teaching my grandson to play golf for 4 months now he's doing ok ,but I have to keep telling him to hit it better not harder so this video on tempo is just what he needs. the 2 golfers I based my swing on is Ernie Else and Colin Montgomery .

Wow! Alex, you just described my game. I can't wait to use this tip. The car analogy is spot on. I always feel like I'm in a hurry to make a great shot, only to feel like I have rushed the tempo. Wish me luck, to incorporate this in my game. Thank you!

Excellent advice, Alex. I have the habit of rushing my backswing and downswing, causing me to hit some poor shots. I'll definitely give this a try. As far as #2 goes I'll think of Nelly Korda's tempo.

Was running late to a tee time and that 1st hole went very poorly because I had held up the group and was rushing. I've been extending the backswing w/ stronger grip and been having some great results most days, but I do feel I rush either the backswing or the return swing sometimes trying to get that full extension (seeing the driver head over my right shoulder as a lefty). I'd like a more relaxed swing with full backswing because sure I can still coil up and try to muscle a bunch of a shots in there while in my 30s, but I def won't be able to do that in my 60s-70s.

Great swing tip Alex. I was surprised to see the distance on the hole you're playing posted in yards as opposed to meters. Has it always been that way or the result of leaving the European Union?

I borrowed a transition move from Monte Scheinblum. I perform a complete backswing and my next move is to fall toward the target. More specifically let my tailbone move toward a 5 o’clock position, with 12 o’clock being 180 degrees from the target line. My arms fall into the slot and shoulders remain closed. My belt buckle begins to turn and when I reach shaft parallel I can open my left hip and the clubhead explodes through the hitting area.

I cant remember who it was, but a certain tour pro said that before a round he'd deliberately do everything slow, like even down to making his breakfast , making a coffee that morning even driving to the course slowly , just to get in that relaxed mindset. I'll try that tomorrow there's a big 2 dayer comp this weekend. Don't tailgate me though.

My swing thoughts are to turn my chest back, turn downward and through with my chest. I hit the ball straight with a good trajectory. However I have lost about 10 to 15% distance with the chest thoughts. How do I incorporate faster hands without getting ahead of my chest. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

It's not terribly complex. Don't even think faster hands. Think faster hips.

You're making me think what might help me by adding a count to the visual...like a dance step. If I count 1 to the backswing, then 2 to the downswing, then 'er' to the point of the low spot aligned with my right knee, I'll have kept my head down and lofted the ball. I tried counting 3, but by the time I said it...too late. It happens so fast, so I shortened it to one word and two syllables .. Make sense? P.S. I really can't dance.

Everyone needs to remember and keep in the back of their minds, the power and distance doesn't come from how fast your backswing is, rather how fast your downswing (club head speed) delivery is and how accurate you're hitting the ball off the face of the club. The farther back your back swing is, the more you have less room for error and more chances of hitting an errant shot. Same with making sure your body is turning through the golf swing with a solid/proper follow-through.

You ain't shittin....this is one of the most troublesome things for armature golfers....they rush the shot! Screws.them up EVERY TIME! I'm just now learning to control this...its very difficult! When you get up to the tee on the course and folks watching you, you can't help trying to smash it! You get stiff and rush...and the result? A lame 180 yd slice OB or into the next fairway! Hahahah!

Couldn’t agree more than that. Kindly let us know more easy way to swing, if possible. Bud sadly enough, most of us do the other way round !!! But regarding full finish am not very convinced. Example : Phil Mickelson, Jhon Daly, Vijay Singh etc, if am not wrong. 😮😮😮😮 By the way, who has made this golf swing so much complicated !!!! Too much Alex!! 😢😢. Time has come to 'outsource' the swing !!! 😂😂😂

What is the common fault by amateurs vs pro concerning this matter? = KNEES from the top of their swing ... the knees BEND FIRST to make everything in sync on the way down as well as not having them too straight at setup ... knees are the FLOW and rhythm ... try all sorts AT SETUP ... too straight knees vs too bent... then find YOUR flex at setup to get your flow with the club .... if u don't move with your "dancing" partner you're gonna step on toes and throw your partner all over the place... "simple" as that huh :P ;) All the best from Iceland ...
