You should get a velvet lined shadow box to display them on the wall, or a small shadow box accent table to display them in. That way you can see them to enjoy them.

OMG! Those are gorgeous! I went to RM Waxworks on Etsy, and she has a note up thanking Crystal at Bag-O-Day for featuring her hooks, but she got so many orders that first day, she was forced to take a break from orders for a few days! Lol Crystal! You’re an ANIMAL! 🤣🤣🤣 Now that I’m seeing you open these, I see why! They are so cool! My daughter is turning 40 in a few weeks, and I think I now know what I can get her! I can’t wait to see her face! She’s crocheted/knitted for 22-23 years and this will be right up her alley! Thank you Crystal for sharing these. 🥰

This is such a wild coincidence! About a month ago, rmwaxworks came up on my Etsy feed and I bought a size H hook with the daffodil handle. I have crocheted with it and I fell in love! When they are restocked and I have saved a few more pennies, I will be purchasing more hooks from this shop. Thanks for a great video Crystal.

Like you, I was imagining who owned them originally & how many generations did it go through of that family before they were sold to the creator of the hooks! What a beautiful idea! It's definitely a J. They are gorgeous! I have to show my husband...maybe a winter project for him to keep him busy! He takes old silverware, flattens them and makes wind chimes, they are really cool!

What a creative and unique idea! I love the concept of giving beautiful items that may otherwise be left in a box, or saved only for special occasions, a new life and purpose. So clever, and equally worthy of being handed down as family heirlooms 🥰 Although, they are definitely much older than from the 1950s, if they're 120+ years old 🤔 Are you not even a tiny bit tempted to give them a test drive, just to see how they feel? 🤗 What a great find! A perfect addition to your collection.

Hi Crystal, as a kid in the 1960s I was in awe of the shiny "good" (silver plated) silverware brought out for special occasions, like Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter. Why couldn't we eat with these every day?!? I get it now - so they could become crochet hooks far into the future!

I'm so happy that I found a "good home" for my mother's old hooks. 😉 I had one of the "gunmetal" hooks (size 10) that I used for beading my knits.... I was devastated when it broke. 😭 I've never been able to find another, but I know they're out there. I believe the monogram on that one hook is a "J".

My Mother loved yard sales and was always picking up old silverware for next to nothing. She had about 4 patterns she looked for and I eventually got them. Boy what a great way to breathe new life into a thing of beauty such as an antique piece of silverware!

Looks like it’s a J so cool I have a lady in town here her antique shop she makes spoon rings from old silverware Crystal do you remember the spoon rings from the late 1980s that people used to wear my older sister used to wear them I bought her one too because she took me to my chemotherapy treatments and I wanted to get her something cool thanks it’s been an exciting week w the new yarns thanks again 💜💙✌️

They are *very* cool hooks. I'm always floored by people's creativity. My grandmother was born in 1912, my mother's name was June so I've seen that letter written that way a lot. I can definitely say that the engraved letter is a J.
