This lady is good!!! NO DOUBT about that... You've gotta be good to sell "selling" like that... But you actually latched on to, what seems to me, to be her only mistake here... No matter what, affordability is an inexorable factor... You simply cannot escape it. If you eschew the consideration entirely, you're gonna end up spinning your wheels unnecessarily. If you know damned well, that 90% of your purchasing decisions hinge on whether you can afford something or not, it's naïve to choose to blind yourself to that factor. It's critical to and entirely a part of targeting your market... You don't go into a computer gaming convention and tell them that they actually need onions instead of graphic processing units... they're just going to laugh @ you... In the same manner you have high end and low end products for the same market... It's just as foolish to target a market of high end GPUs with low end (more affordable ones) as vice versa... The people that want the $3000 GPU don't want to hear how "affordable" your crappy low end GPU is!!! The same is true for people that can't afford the high end unit!!! THEY DON'T WANT TO HEAR IT!!! Affordability IS A SELLING POINT!!! That's why you see millions and millions of ads flashing text that say "YOU GET ALL OF THIS FOR ONLY 59.99 !!!!" Don't ever stop thinking "can they afford it"!!! USE IT AS A SELLING POINT!!! INSTEAD SAY, "I GOT YOU..." MY PRICES ARE BETTER THAN THERE'S AND I CAN GET YOU AN AFFORDABLE PACKAGE TO SUIT YOUR SPECIFIC NEEDS!!! DON'T WORRY.. I GOT SOMETHING FOR YOUR BUDGET!!!! Other than that, she's right on all her other points!!!

You won’t feel guilty or that you’re doing someone a disservice if you know you’re selling a purposeful product or service. I like that she said… 1. customers are not saying no to you they saying no to their next level and hence you have to move on to the target market you created the product for. 2. Position your product meaning set the price, those whom it’s for will buy it and will realize it’s value 3. Deal with Rejection… not everyone is going to want your product or want to support your business. Accept and move on. Excellent advice since I just started my own business and selling takes time and can be challenging. This is precisely what I needed to hear to remind me I’m on the right track but need to stay patient and positive.

This video popped up on my feed. All of your points are spot on. I've been in entertainment for over 15 years and I undersold for a short while before I realized that I was way underselling. When I raised my prices to the market value it never hurt me at all. However, now I have to work half the time for the same amount of money. I turn down work all the time so that I don't lower the value of what I'm offering. And I don't take it personal when my services are rejected anymore. I learned that what I offer isn't always what the client may be looking for.

Yes! I love this... think about if you were talking to a friend and they told you about a problem and you share with them something that could help them. You're not thinking about whether they can afford it or not. You don't feel slimy you feel like you're helping them out. If they reject what you offer as a solution, you're not personally attached to it so you'll mostly likely shrug it off if they reject it.

this video showed for me just in the right time. I am starting my own handcrafted one of a kind jewellery, but I had the worry that the.prices that I am planning to offer are high. When she said that we should not worry if they can afford it it hit me. I should not compromise the price of my art pieces. I need to know my worth and know that there are millions of people WHO can afford it. This also reminds me that we are the example to our children, we should not compromise ourselves ❤

Thank you so much. (1.) Certainly, as much pre-qualification as I can do beforehand will be helpful to my sales. If this involves a gentle website questionnaire, this is what it involves. (2.) Lots of times, I view a prospect who I’m not completely sure about as “just practice”. What this does is it takes the pressure off me. I’m enjoying myself in a matter-of-fact manner and, lots of times, I make that sale(!). (2.) I’m a very smiley😌 person which apparently doesn’t work when I sell “serious” items like eco-friendly exterior car cleaners or stuff that grows plants without soil. One day, after several days-without-sales, I was tired and not smiling. I didn’t look mean nor angry. I was still kind and helpful and suddenly, I started making sales(!). The next day, I tried it again😃.

Thank you @Dr Sonja Stribling for your video. I believe that as long as you're telling me the truth, I'll take that pain because I'll get over it. Truth is food for growth. You ma'am, are appreciated. ❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥 I agree that we shouldn't assume whether or not a person can afford to buy whatever. The only one who's going to get hurt buy this assumption is you. I've left dealerships when I was a young adult because they were disrespectful. My mom was my driver and would walk in with me. The salesmen would automatically greet us but ask my mom what she was looking for. How about asking, "Who's my customer?" or "What can I do for you ladies?" which is addressing the group? Also because I was a nicely dressed young lady, they assumed I wanted a "cute" car. Ew. I don't do cute. These experiences made car shopping horrible and annoying.

I realised this for myself the other day when someone pulled out of a job offer they gave me because they realised they couldn't afford me. They then continued to say that they wanted to hire cheaply. I said okay, thank you and kept it very polite and professional. The main thing I took away from it was the fact they are blocking their blessings by hiring as cheap as possible instead of investing in the company, I didn't take it as a personal blow.
