Hey, Mr. Tom. I couldn't help notice those blueberry biscuits next to the eggs. If you haven't tried those those are so good. I go to Walmart. I drive 30 minutes from where I live at. I'm here in Michigan just to get those biscuits. That's how good they are hope you have a wonderful day.

Many of those meat prices are legitimately the cheapest I’ve seen in at least 4-5 years. Also, the coffee we enjoy has actually gone down in price recently due to the roaster opening a new shop in our city, so we no longer have to overnight it from 1000 miles away 😊

Plenty of carrots around our parts but they are pricey compared to a year ago. Our potatoes only come in 5 and 10lb bags and the 10lb bags are in short supply and $8 when I find them. Sams club sells 3pks of bacon for $9.99 so it's $3.33lb. Not bad! With prices lately I feel compelled to over buy when I find sales. Nothing wrong with a little extra stocked up but I always feel such urgency to put up more!

I’m proud of myself I bought coffee last year. The date had just got passed the best bye.. I thought I was going to be disappointed, but it was just as fresh as any you would buy in the store. I popped it open this morning, pulled out my Mr. coffee, enjoyed coffee all day. I even tried one I had in the refrigerator that I had opened. The quality did slip away a bit, but not that much that I couldn’t drink it this afternoon.😂 been stocked up on the sugar last two years and fine saving me money for sure! 😊

Just an FYI. You actually shouldn't store your coffee in the fridge or freezer. It does compromise the flavor. I know an owner of a coffee company, and he told me that. He is heavily educated in the science of growing the beans, and all the way to your coffee mug's production. He has traveled extensively to many countries that grow coffee beans, so he knows what he's talking about. The cold moist air in the fridge and freezer does compromise the flavor. Just keep it in your cupboard tightly sealed, and you will have your delicious coffee no matter what brand you use. If kept sealed tightly in a drug environment, (your cupboard) it should last long after the expiry date. Areas of high humidity can reduce that time by about a week or two.

We haven't really been looking at the meat for a while since we are trying to eat more from our freezers and pantry before moving. For a while we will only have the one freezer other than the one attached to the refrigerator. We are also going through our canned goods and such. Cleaning products and hygiene too. I am seeing how much we had stocked up now and we have saved quite a bit over the time we have been eating from it and using the stockpile. We plan to restock after we move but be more meticulous about what we have extras of. Thank you for taking us along.

Hey, Mr. Tom! Friday after Thanksgiving, the store-brand eggs were wiped out, nothing left, but plenty of the fancy egg brands were still available. So it looks like people just aren't buying them. The $35 whole chickens weren't selling, either. I used to take legs, sprinkle with garlic and chili powder, and bake. Yummy! Now I'm hankering for some. Gas prices lowest I've seen in a few years, I think, down to $3.09. Have a great day!

Mr. Tom, I have heard that there will be a shortage of coffee due to the extreme weather. I only buy it when it's on sale, and then I stock up. The price of meat is ridiculous, but that bacon looks like a good deal. I try to buy meats only when it's marked down or a good sale. Beef prices are expected to go up 25 to 40% next year. Generally, your prices are lower than here in mid-Kentucky. Always a pleasure shopping with you. Have a blessed evening, you and the kitty krew.

Bananas-.58, cucumbers 1.09, lettuce heads are much at 2.50/head, roma's here are cheaper .99/lb large, ground beef $5.89/#, lots of baby carrots here, no large carrots the past 3 shopping trips, $13.47 for 25.9 oz decaf folgers, 5.78# pork, 1.72 half gallon milk, cheapest eggs 1.33. In NW Oregon: 2.49 for hotdog buns, Dukes 5.99, cukes .79 ea, 1.00 green bell pepper, russets 5# 3.99, tomatoes run about the same. I can't drink coffie out of the can, but your coffee prices are about $1 to 2 lower. I buy whole bean roasted for 6.99 per 12 oz. We can't touch meat for the prices you have there, not even close. Hambuger is $4.99 to 5.99 for 80/20 We pay twice what you do for lower priced meats. Ribeye is the same though...go figure. Other steaks are about the same as yours. Chicken is higher $3.00 per lb. When I buy meat I want bones to make broth out of because buying bone broth is insanely expensive. Milk is the same on average. Eggs I can get for 1.79 on sale once in a while but perfer better quality for $5 to $6 per dozen large eggs. Plain white/whole wheat sandwich bread is 1.97 to 2.49 per loaf. It's crazy.

Not bad prices on some meat. Filet mignon was 10 a pound at the butcher shop and we splurged on one. New Yorks were 5.99 a pound there. I feel it's going to go way higher with the price of feed and everything else to raise cows. Probably good as it gets for now. I like the chicken leg quarters .79 a pound here. Well, Mr. Tom, here in the south Pacific Northwest we're buying white onions 'cause the yellow onions looked all bruised up. The carrots look like they were left in the truck that hauled them off the farm a few years ago before recent packaging. Pork "riblets', the end cuts if ribs, used to be $1.49 a pound but are now $3.49 a pound and given a fancier name. We're trying to find humor in going to the store these days!

Here in Amarillo meat, esp beef and bacon is considerably higher. However we have two grocery chains here that have pretty much monopolized the grocery prices in this town. Even though this is beef country, ( beef is the primary business in this area ). Nbeef prices are through the roof. I am now buying one package of some sort of meat per week. Learning lots of plant based recipes and actually enjoying them. But would like to up the meat game a bit. I really do enjoy it.

Words from my bunch. Jerry and Sugar Bear and Dale enjoy 😅 trips to Super Foods. They hear you, they rush to the car but they are 😅super careful to not run over me. Then they are super careful to seat me 😅between them or if I am super lucky I get a lap for me and Sugar Bear. Blessed am I for my laps and the happines for my family and friends. Thank you Mr. Tom and a big hello to your family and the kitty crew. Love from Bear and me and the crew.❤❤

Nice to have some comparison. We seem to have plenty of carrots. If they get scarce, I canned enough to last until next Fall, so I'm good. Yes, I can beat $1.99 for pork sausage. I scored an 8 lb pork butt roast for $1.40, ground it up and made my own, so I'd say with the seasoning, my 7 lbs of vacusealed sausage was about $1.55/lb. Last week, I bought a whole pork loin or $1.59/lb. Tomorrow, I'll cut it into chops and vacuseal them in dinner portions. Lately I've been getting sirloin for just under $4.00/lb - I buy a whole one still in the shipping package and made ground sirloin and sirloin tips to vacuseal in 1 lb packs. As for chicken, I just culled three cockerels, and still have two in the freezer. Each one dressed out over 5 lbs! Milk here is $4.84/gal. I usually buy two and make Greek yogurt out of one of the gallons. As for eggs, my hens have slowed down, but they're still laying. I really like potato chips, and every few weeks I'll mandolin a few potatoes and fry them up in peanut oil, otherwise, I make popcorn. I'm not the most trusting person in the world, so I prefer to grow what I can myself, and make my own salads, pasta and baked goods. Wish you lived closer - I'd share.

Yep I too buy my own pork roasts and make my own sausage both breakfast and Italian sausage. I'll also use the on sale roasts 6lbs of it and a pound of ham to make my own spam and can it up. I pre cook the breakfast sausage patties and freeze those. The Italian sausage I ball up pre cook and can meatballs or pre cook crumbles and can it up as well. I've also made sausage out of ground up turkey and beef too, for those that don't eat pork. You got to figure out ways to do things cheap as possible to stay ahead of the ridiculous greed happening.
