Unbelievable Prices at Super Foods !The Day Before Christmas Eve Food Haul.

The store was extremely busy with people rushing in and out. So I jumped in and made a quick pick up too. I was surprised by some of the prices I saw, maybe you will be too. Let me know how our prices compare to yours.

Praying you have company( if that is what you would like) made cookies today. Mainly for elderly neighbor, they are like a carrot cake and she likes them a lot, tomorrow butter cookies. I am making her and me lasagna for the holiday, daughters car needing a tire so her and my grandkids will be unable to visit, that is a first in many years, would go to them but I look after the neighbor and she does not get around anymore.You all have a great week and many blessings and protections over you❤❤

Another story about my genius male cat who was a mastermind whole wheat bread thief. The female he bred with had kittens inside the living room of the old house on the property after finding a way in through a window gap where an air conditioner had been removed. This cat was hit by a car when the kittens were still too young to fend for themselves. I mixed up a formula for them with directions from a vet and took care of them inside the fish market in a box by a heater until they could get around and eat solid food, then put them outside and they slept under the small building. Their dad knew that was his kittens and he started catching mice, frogs, snakes, and all sorts of things, and kept a huge pile of food for them. I have never seen a male cat do this. He seemed very worried about them and would nearly panic if they made any distress sounds. He was an excellent pest control cat too...I had no more problems with squirrels getting my pecans. He guarded the tree. There were no mice to be seen while he was there. Venomous snakes had no chance and he seemed to be immune to the venom like a mongoose. He had a bad immediate reaction that was scary, but he always shook it off. I`ve seen him leap out of the top of a tree onto squirrels on the ground...looking like he fell from the sky! LOL!

You and I buy a lot of the exact same foods - and while watching this video, it was almost like looking at my countertops on grocery day too, haha. Although I order grocery delivery _(due to medical conditions which prevent me from going store shopping)_ the 73/27 hamburger meat here in Houston is ($4.22) per pound, but I use the 90/10 mostly, which cost ($6.44) per pound._ I'm not sure if we will ever see pre-Covid prices on much of anything ever again.

Greetings Sir, You got some really good deals, here even the 75% ground is around $5 a lb. Part of our kids are coming home after the holiday and going to spend a couple days and we spent to much getting enough groceries to feed them...lol we are both older and eat alot less than we used to. we both dread going to the grocery knowing the cost is going to be steep.... That was a pretty good total. I think you did good for the amount you spent. Hamburger where I am 73/27 is 5.00 per lb. Store had a sale on new york steak 6.88 a lb so I got the steak.

I am staying out of the stores this season- stocked up on bread, milk and eggs and don't plan on going back until after the new year. Last year, while everyone was buying turkey and such, I found a great deal on vacuum packed salmon in the fresh meat counter. It had been high all year until no one was buying it during the holiday season, so they put it on clearance. I don't have any room in the freezer to stock up on any sales this season, so I am happy to see you found some and have room to take advantage of them. Happy holidays!

Mr.Tom, you really found some really nice grocery items. All the produce looked so fresh and healthy looking. The hamburger meat looked good too. Glad you got a good price on it, and you were able to stock up on some of your favorites. You bought a good variety of items too. I like to have a few things in the pantry and freezer too for quick meals and you have the other items to cook when you feel like. All of your kitties are well cared for. That little Gracie is so cute with those white sock feet and the white under her chin. I can tell she's a cuddly kitty and good housemate and friend. Thank you for your message at the end. Nice haul, Tom! I just finished marinating our biggest splurge this Christmas. We always try to have lamb for Christmas and Easter, so I waited for it to go on sale and bought a large leg. I cut the upper portion off, vacu-seal and freeze it for Easter, and the leg portion will marinate in the fridge until tomorrow. I also bought some red potatoes to roast with the lamb. I stopped eating frozen dinners years ago because the preservatives don't agree with me. I now can or freeze my leftovers and consider that my convenience food, LOL!
