So true. America spoils people with all of the convenience, but Ghana has things money can't buy. Cancer is very high in America but lower in Ghana & Africa in general because the food is not pumped with chemicals like ours. U.S. is good for money and convenience, but it comes at a cost: food related illness, gun violence, high crime & racism. I'm looking forward to a simpler, healthier life for me & my sons in Ghana next year.

They tend to lie to thier families when they come to the United States because of the expectations they created before leaving. 80% of Ghanaians in the UNited States are STRUGGLING, they have not changed and are not successful either but will lie to project success when they are failing miserably. I see them everyday and shake my head, they are either engaged in fraud stealing from CREDIT CARDS and renigging the payments

Very educational video that most people will underate. I am on my 3rd back to Africa trip after 2 unsuccessful ones. The part of creating a stream of income such as creating a successful business back home in Africa while still earning money in the west was the biggest mistake I made on both of my back to Africa trips and also shop local and live within my means. I am glad I got it right this time and by the grace of God 2026 I am back to Africa 4 good. God bless you for this fabulous video. I won't be one of those priced out of my continent lol.

@ravennj551 what country do want to move to? If it's your 1st time visiting, I would suggest you visit a few countries multiple times and see which ones you can vibe with. Then pock one create a thriving source of income before you can make a move. Make sure the business you create can sustain you and accommodate your needs, lifestyle before you can move. Don't buy land in any country until you obtain citizenship and never rush to buy land and build before creating a successful source of income. Get acquainted with locals and shop like locals, etc. If you need advice on what business you can start off with can thrive right from the jump, reach out privately.

Americans are taught to finance EVERYTHING. Education, housing, etc so most of us are working to pay bills. Cost of living goes up every year so we cannot save. The system is built that way. Currently salaries are going down so it’s even worse. Debt traps basically. Unless avenues are created to facilitate repatriation from America to Ghana, it will be very hard to make the transition.

Even health issues won't stop me from MOVING BACK TO NIGERIA. We'll all die one day, but before that, i want to enjoy good quality of life in my country. I will find a way to order my prescription in the US and find a good doctor in Nigeria 🇳🇬 and getting annual check-up in the US. Best pension for your Ghana retirement plan is tree crops you ask me. Cocoa, Cashew, coconut etc. 10 acres of tree crops will bring you at least 3000 cedis per week or 12,000 a month annually. This is with all expenses deducted. I would say first acquire a minimum of 10 acres of land and plant it out. Then build a house and you should be at least setting yourself up for a very good quality of life in your retirement. Follow these instructions and you will think about this comment years later and thank me for it.

I think the main issue with Ghana is that it was never designed with the majority in mind-neither the middle class nor the lower class. That's one of the biggest problems. You mentioned a woman who lived in America, returned to Ghana, and built what can be considered a luxurious apartment, charging $500 per night. Here's one of the key issues: you earn in cedis, but you spend in dollars. And we all know Ghana is not a fully developed country, and the economic numbers just don't add up. This is one of the reasons why so many people end up staying in Europe or America-they realize Ghana was never built to accommodate the majority of its people. Let's be honest, given the chance, most Ghanaians would leave Ghana today.

If one wants to live a healthier lifestyle they can do the research and make changes right here in the US. If I want to experience Ghana or places like Ghana, I can go visit, enjoy and come back. In addition, I've noticed that life expectancy tends to be shorter over there so that makes me question whether people over there are actually enjoying more health than those in the US.

@@cocoapuff134 Very valid point. I visited my grandma during Xmas in Ghana and she is over 100 years old. Never travelled outside Ghana. And I've seen young people die in UK. Figures and stats can be misleading (not saying they are not true). I've heard a cancer survivor in the US say, "they are keeping me alive just to punish me" (cos of the miserable and mundane life she is living). There are people at a point where they will be happy to die "early but happy", than to live a longgg miserable life. It's just a matter of choice. Also, you can put measures in place to utilise the best of both worlds.

@MickeyAgyei The same could be said of many 100+ year olds in the United States, but on average what is the life expectancy in Ghana ? And so far as organic fruits and vegetables, we have those here too...people just have to change lifestyle choices. There are whole farming communities and organizations that are dedicated to this. And I'd venture to say there are those at death's door in Ghana who are hoping the end would come soon to end their suffering. Peace of mind is a state of mind and CHOICE. There are many people in the US who live peaceful existences. Ultimately, it's about preference and ACCURATE information, research, and experience are key to making wise decisions.

Building the road is the government's responsibility. However, it's delay doesn't stop the average Ghanaian building his own house or apartment. Eventually, infrastructural development do catch up. Before that, life still goes on.

I cannot live in Ghana and spend more for less . It just doesn’t make sense . Add to that the lack of streamlined development , it’s sporadic. I need electricity 24/7 , I need reliable services . I need a reliable health service . Ghana is on its way , but it’s not there yet . I was born in the U.K , lived in Jamaica,where my parents are from . In Jamaica you have water ,light 24/7 . If I want anything , from a pin to an anchor , I can get it , or order it and it’s just days away . The weather is similar to Ghana , you also have business opportunities there , and things just work . I can build there or buy there without being scammed and looked at as being a foreigner . To have access to good healthcare , even when I eventually retire , I will continue to live in the U. K . The negatives unfortunately are more than the positives in Ghana . KZbin is littered with stories of people returning from the diaspora , even with everything in place , having been let down and having to return from whence they came .

That being said, it's just a matter of choice. We all have different purposes in life. If you were born in UK and widely accepted as a British, please stay put and do what makes you happy.
