Durban is South Africa's play ground, it cheaper compared to Capetown, yep I fully agree the economy is in Johannesburg, we drive down to Durban to relax and unwind however I work in Johannesburg..I was born in Durban

SA held the stat for some time but lately with high global migration, Indians have been migrating to better countries hence they are a lot in the US. Just like Brazil which has the largest African population outside of Africa even more than the US
