I do not take my Christmas decorations down until the epiphany which is January 6. That is the end of the 12 days of Christmas.

January is a good month to get the house in order, too cold to do anything else!

Sherri, those large jingle bells are so fun! I’m keeping those in mind for next year! I, too, love taking down decor for a fresh slate for the new year.

Like the first poster I keep my tree till after Jan 6 to celebrate. But I also use January as a massive reset month. ❤ Wishing you a Happy, Healthy New Year!

Those giant jingle bells are beautiful. The smaller boxes are a good idea. I have these giant tubs that I always overfill and they are really heavy. It’s was fine when I was younger but now that I’m older and my back isn’t what it used to be I may make the switch.

I am jealous that you have storage space for big bells, a giant Santa and two large nutcrackers. I have to very limited storage but have managed to find flat ornaments , flat nativities and signs. I am thinking of adding ribbon loops that I put on floral pucks to put in the branches of my tree and they could be stored flat. I even have a folding tree collar

I’m watching this just after taking down all my Christmas decor. After this video and a cup of coffee I’ll clean and put everything back that I removed for the holiday season. I always do this on New Year’s Day - my own little tradition. 😉🎄❤️

Hi Sherri! Thank you for the additional lighting! I could see everything you were doing. 😊Happy New Year!

Thank you Sherrie for a sage reminder that storage doesn't need to be picture perfect, functional and organised is my goal, no more random nik naks in odd spaces, my own method which is hap hazard😢 Happy new year 😊

I use clear garbage bags to put over things to keep the dust off. Trees, wreaths etc.

I enjoyed this motivating video immensely! I finished taking down all of my Christmas decor and putting it away today. I’m looking forward to the sweeping, mopping, etc. tomorrow, followed by putting out my regular decor. Happy New Year 2025!

Love this. I use the Amazon bags too. I put my softgoods in clear plastic bags because my basement storage is dusty and I put in a dryer sheet so no mildew smell.

Slow down and enjoy the "post holiday mellow". LOVE the giant bells---I saw some similar that come apart to nest for storage. Healthy and safe 2025 everyone !!!

Quick question? Why are you wearing gloves? I am thinking that’s such a good idea because whenever I do any work I usually end up with a bruise or cut on my thinning skin on my hands. Lovely decor and I know it feels so good to get it down. Waiting until next week to get mine down
@The_Curated_LifeАй бұрын
Lisa, my hands stay dry and crack easily, especially as I get older, so I wear the gloves to protect them. ❤❤❤

Waaaiiittt .... a minute Sherri! I'm not that far north of you (Maryland) and I have never heard of a tree collar! It's called a tree skirt! Go back and change that label! Happy New Year! 🎉🤣🥳🥂🎉
@lindaisserlis6550Ай бұрын
@@janetslicer3637 Two different things. A skirt is usually fabric that lays flat on the floor. A collar is “stiff” and goes partway up the bottom of the tree. Like a collar on a skirt. I have one made out of wicker.
@janetslicer3637Ай бұрын
@@lindaisserlis6550 Thank you for that clarification Linda. I just never saw Sherri put anything away like that. I thought it was mostly material. I learned something new. Thank you! ♥️☘️
