@@YoshMaster They were bought by Kraft, so it isn't surprising that the branding differ from country to country. Canada has been more lenient with the image of the Queen, so we tend to keep the UK brand names, while the US... Let's just say that the Boston Tea Party happened.

No, just Sour Patch. This is very widespread in the food industry. For example, Lay's are called Walkers over in the UK, but Frito-Lays, a US brand, and Walkers were two completely different company, until PepsiCo bought them both. They kept their respective branding however, even if they are the same product. Magacorporations collusion monopolies needs to hide and diversifies themselves to survive after all.

Lip glosses and chapsticks are often flavored, even though you're not supposed to actually eat it. That's because it's not toxic to eat in small amounts (it's literally on your lips!) but you're likely going to be tasting it every now and then, because it's on your lips!!! So it would suck to have it taste gross. That doesn't mean your meant to eat it like candy lol

Fun Fact: You probably got the Maynards one from Québec, seeing as the package is bilingual. The peach ones are called "Fuzzy Peach" here, and are from the Maynards brand. The Sour Patch kid branding was probably added to boost sale in the US, since, you know, they are both from Kraft. I'd recommend looking up the brands of the stuff you but and see who own them. You'll see that there's not that many different company that owns the food market. And yeah, those cherry blaster also have the Sour Patch kid branding added to it, since they're just called Cherry Blaster from Maynards here.

You're sort of right, PBG! Your taste buds do change as you age. Children have more receptors to experience sweet flavor, possibly because they need more energy for growth so they're adapted to crave it. Adults lose those sugar hungry taste buds over time, and just generally have lessened senses, so we start to enjoy sharper flavors, such as sour, or vinegary things. Source: I learned this somewhere a few years ago when I was researching this very question. I'm no expert.

Ice cream also has cream and other ingredients in it that's why it's called ice cream and not ice milk. The cereal doesn't have anything added except milk. Your right it does have milk in it but again it's not just milk.
