We're past the days where Scotch was undersupplied, quite the other way now, with the exception of a small handful of distilleries which have resisted growing production. It's weird seeing the opposite that bourbon is way more easy to access and affordable in Europe than the US!

I have the Frank August Small Batch and I love it. Very classic KY bourbon. My sources lead me to believe it's Wilderness Trail but it's a tight-lipped wild NDA.
@noworldforericКүн бұрын
For you Brewzle, it would TECHNICALLY be bonded, but because of the DSP not being listed due to NDA, they cannot tag it as bottled-in-bond. But everything else is correct. Aged in a bonded warehouse at least four years under US Gov supervision and is 100 proof.

Frank August doesn’t have a ‘cask strength’ normal SKU. They have allocated single barrel options that are the closest thing to cask strength. They also do ‘Case Study’s’, which are unique finishes typically. I.E. the Mizunara you found was one of the case study’s. The small batch is solid sourced juice in a great bottle. Not going to blow you away, but you won’t be disappointed with it. I’d recommend a single barrel as well if you find it.

Please don't let your dislike of peat turn you off from Scotch, plenty of us folk in Scotland feel the same way. There's a whole world of non-peated scotches out there, specifically almost everything from Speyside, with more than 50 distilleries to choose from. It's just a weird US bravado thing that folk across the pond think more peat = better Scotch. Try a bourbon-aged Glenallachie 12 and it'll be your gateway from Bourbon to Scotch.
