It's an amazing set, but certainly not inexpensive. What do you think? Is it worth the price tag?

aziply Toys 39 subscribers Will Playmobil ever release other famous Star Trek ships such as the iconic Romulan D'Deridex class and the Klingon D-7? You can't have a Heroic starship like the Enterprise without an enemy ship for it to fight. I really want another Romulan D'Deridex class Warbird (even if I already have the 1993 Playmates Toys version of the Iconic Romulan D'Deridex class Warbird) because it's a great ship with serious firepower!

@@MaziplyToys Does Playmobil have a youtube channel or phone number so I can ask them if I wanted to?
@MaziplyToys3 жыл бұрын
They do: kzbin.info/door/P8LIBb7ohMJJCXc6CTmKpg The phone number for Playmobil is 800-752-9662 That all said, until they announce something to retailers, they are usually very hush, hush on stuff like this.

@@MaziplyToys Thank you, but I think it would be rude of me if I pushed them. Could you probably ask them for me instead? The last Toy company I ask on their KZbin Channel was Diamond Select Toys (the now main distributor of Star Trek toys), they usually very busy and don't always have time for Toy requests like when I asked them if they could one day eventually do a release of the lights and sounds version 22nd Century Romulan T'Varo class Bird of Prey (This really cool looking and very creepy Romulan ship: kzbin.info/www/bejne/f5mZkJasm8qXnrM ) from Star Trek: Enterprise and they unfortunately didn't have enough time and resource's to build one. But in 2016 they did manage to release the 23rd Century Romulan Bird of Prey (featuring lights and sounds) in 2016 for the 50th Anniversary of Star Trek: The Original Series which I manage to buy one for my Birthday a year ago on November 21st.

I'm more of a Lego fan, but as a kid playmobil was my thing. I had the pirate ship as a kid. But right now they are doing really amazing sets. I want the knight rider and a-team set, but they are a bit expensive for me right now...

Yes, the prices have gone up a bit over the last few years. Both are really cool sets though!

For 500 dollars you need to be able to ride it lol. For something that small it needs a lot more electronics added and a upscale to size. You can get a good new smartphone or semi decent non gaming computer for that price. I see this as more of a niche collectors item if you got tons of money to burn or are a very diehard fan. Needs a couple hundred knocked off first One thing is for sure because of its price tag it's value will probably double over the years as it becomes rare to find
@MaziplyToys3 жыл бұрын
I think you hit the nail on the head. It's definitely a niche collector's item. And I think you will see it climb in value over the years where it's a limited release product.

Cool, just not half a freakin' grand kind of cool. That's Haslab kind of cash. It has some LEDs here and there but unless every computer button on every panel on the bridge was lit up individually there's no way I would pay $500 for this. Not for stickers. The ship isn't even painted, it's just molded plastic. If it were $200 I'd say go for it.

It seems pricey, but we still haven't seen it in person yet. Hoping it blows us away when it arrives! Otherwise, we'll have a lot of $500 Enterprises. LOL
@koboldcarl75283 жыл бұрын
Well, when compared to a Lego Star Destroyer, which costs around 600-700 euro, it is certainly cheaper. OK, you don't have the building pleasure, but after having built such a huge Lego kit, which is entirely grey, you don't want to touch Lego for a few months. It is an expensive kit, but then again, it is aimed more at the adult fans of Playmobil (AFOPs?). And you have lights and sound effects. And it is 1 meter long, which is huge. So I think it is correct that it falls in the same price category as the Star Destroyer. And I think the Enterprise may be "swooshable" (all be it with two hands) while the Star Destroyer definitely is not.

Why does every company need to include these bluetooth/app shit? It pushes the price up for something most people don't need. You can not only not program this for every phone because of hardware differences but excluding those who haven't a smartphone. Just put some buttons on that thing like on EVERY set before. $499, you got to be kidding me!;Usually it's Hasbro who puts overprized products on the market.
