There is no stress free life. It's just what you're willing to put up with. What do you want? You want the fuss of dealing with a house, kids, doctor's appointments, fixing stuff around the house, hoa's, land payments, land management if you own numerous acres, taking vehicles in to the mechanic or fixing them yourself, we all deal with the same things. We all have problems, struggles, foibles, things to deal with for ourselves or our spouse, kids, partner, what have you. I used to think that working 100 hr weeks and really knocking it out financially would put us in the good life, free of stress and problems further down the line. Ya, not so much. Best you can do is decide what you want out of life, and work toward that end, but the struggles that you have, everyone else has too. There is no perfect fairytale life, regardless of what Disney tried to tell us as kids. I have had near perfect health my entire life. I know people with way more money than I've ever had that would trade nearly everything they have for a back that works correctly again. We all have stuff to deal with. Best you can do is realize that, keep your head up, and keep truckin on down the road.

You are right, everyone has stress no matter what. We aren’t saying our lives suck, to be clear we ABSOLUTELY love our lifestyle. But everyone also has times that are better than others. It’s completely normal to get down when things aren’t going well for you. It’s healthy to feel feelings and work through them. It is toxic to pretend everything is ok if it isn’t. What we all CAN do when faced with extra stress than normal in our lives is take positive steps forward to make the changes you want to see in your life. I like trucking along with tools in my belt and gas in the tank to help me cope! 🙌

@Rehabit8 Absolutely. It didn't come across that y'all were trying to say otherwise, I just feel like too many people get caught up in the feeling that they must be doing something wrong because their life isn't a movie, no matter how much they planned it that way. I just wanted to make a point that it's not just y'all, it's not just me, it's all of us lol. It's healthy to acknowledge the stress of life and take steps to keep us healthy mentally.

@@twistedpixel2558yes! Exactly! That’s why we thought it was important to share the internal journey too because it’s relatable even if you don’t live in a bus and travel. Thanks for your thoughts and feelings. We love sharing and discussion in our online community 🤗

Port Aransas and area are my stress free zone. The wind (which is usually present), smell of the salt-air and the smell of the boat docks, to me, makes me feel the love of God! Many great memories there. I am so glad you both found your peace!

@don, I can definitely relate to the bus mechanical stress; I find that I’m constantly on edge as I drive. Listening to every squeak and shutter fearing the worst. I found our BlueFire adapter has helped me relax while I drive because it’s monitoring more than I can see. Also, in general I find I am much improved by being thankful for things. Making a list of thankful items removes anxiety (brain actually can’t process anxiety and gratefulness at the same time). Fun trick. You both are on my thankful list. I like your respectfulness to each other, your search for change and adventure is something I admire. Would love to chat with you more in person about what else works wonders for me removing anxiety about the future. Hop up to Michigan in the summer; we will put on a nice BBQ for ya. 😊

Inspiring video and I love your channel. I was Counting Crows’ bassist in the 90’s and I’m a huge “seeker” type, practicing a meditation called Sahaja Yoga since the late 80’s (still striving for contentment! Constant battle). Great to see others “on the path” and thank you for your inspiring channel.

Hi Matt! We love Counting Crows! No ways! I (Mela) actually went to a few Sahaja Meditation classes in Venice Beach (before I met Don). That was my first experience meditating. I enjoyed those classes and it helped me through a very tough time in my life. Obviously I didn’t keep it up, but I’m so happy we have found our way back to a regular practice. Thanks for watching! 🥰

So glad you've enjoyed the South Padre Island beach experience. Stay in Texas as long as you want or until the summer heat drives you to a cooler climate. Texas has open beaches as far east as High Island, Tx that I know of. Port Arthur/Sabine Pass may offer a spot, but I am not familiar. I daydream about doing what you 2 have taken on and accomplished. Love to the kitties!

First of all, you should try meditating early in the morning. You should be warm and comfortable. During your meditation if your mind wonders, recognize it and return to counting. In the beginning it may be difficult. Dont stress, just keep practicing. Counting in breathsand out breaths. 🙏 Namaste (I've been meditating since 2004. Then I studied Reiki and became a Master in 2005. I meditate every day.)

Hi, yeah as itisimagery said we have rebranded and are making 3 different types of videos. Maybe you missed this announcement video that explains it: BIG CHANGES: Channel Announcement kzbin.info/www/bejne/npTOda13h9CtfdE We never intended our channel to just be about buses. We are going to be making the videos we always intended on making. Our journey is not just external and many enjoy traveling and learning through our internal journey too. We know not everyone will love everything we create and that’s ok. Everyone has the choice to choose what they’d like to watch.But one style of video we will continue making, which will probably be more familiar to you, is bus vlogs (as we call it). Next week’s video is a bus vlog and it chock block full of buslife! Hope to see you next week

Oh I’m sorry you must be dealing with stress to leave such a nasty comment. I’m sorry our life upsets you so but I hope people speak kinder words to you than you just did to us. Obviously you didn’t watch the full video, and you are welcome to leave and never watch our channel again if that makes you happy but if you did actually watch the video you’ll see that we did and are taking the heat and finding ways around the troubles. Life is much better when you are kinder to yourself and others. Best of luck in your ventures whatever they may be
@tedwensing18425 ай бұрын
@@Rehabit8 your life doesn’t upset me at all, but you have no idea what real stress is, no mortgage, no children to put threw school, no house to maintain on top of doing a 40 + hour work week, not forgetting children’s activities after school.
@Rehabit84 ай бұрын
@@tedwensing1842 as a KZbinr I am no stranger to mean comments. All throughout our bus build we were told, losers give up. Yet here we are with a beautiful home and a beautiful life we worked hard to create. So it is not a surprise that when we make a video about how we turned our lives around and improved our mental health that people will want to leave their thoughts about why this pisses them off. Now normally I don't engage with bullies and trolls but the thing is this video will attract people who are looking for ways to improve their lives and some who may be struggling with depression (and they'll be down here in the comments too), so I'm just going to leave this here for whoever needs to hear this: 1) It is extremely unhealthy to compare your life to some one else's life. You have no idea what someone else's stress or pains are in life (you cannot know from watching a little KZbin video or looking at someone's facebook profile what their work life, personal life or daily stresses are like). Even rich and successful people get depressed. In fact some one who LOOKS on the outside like they have it all may be miserable and someone living off little money with lots of kids could be so full of love and joy that they cope much better with the stress of their work or daily life. 2) It is okay to not be okay. What IS NOT okay is to bully someone who says they are down and tell them to get out of the fire. 3) If you are unhappy with your life, change it. You have choices in life. Seek help, start meditating (the nasty commenters are probably the ones who need it the most), call a friend, call a professional. 4) If you’re struggling, it’s okay to share your feelings. It is far more healthy than taking out your pain and frustrations on others online. 5) What you put out into the world is what you will get back. So spread love and joy! 6) Suicide Hotline: Call 988. This Lifeline provides 24/7, free and confidential support for people in distress, prevention and crisis resources for you or your loved ones, and best practices for professionals in the United States.
