You Won't Believe the Spec Option Prices on My McLaren Senna!

Adding options to the specification of a car like the McLaren Senna can very quickly become a scary game! Let's run through the full order list and the exact prices of each option but prepare for some surprises; both more expensive and more affordable than you'd expect!
When it comes to building a bespoke spec with MSO, you are spoiled for choices beyond the 'basic' colours and factory options, with a huge array of different custom details, carbon tints, and extra touches that you can add. For example my car has additional visual carbon fibre, tinted lacquer, some bespoke coloured parts like the centre-locks, brake calipers and interior stitching.

The carbon price cost did surprise me, I would have said £20k upwards Would you change anything on the spec in hindsight, or are you 100% happy with it?

Values will go up eventually, they were misunderstood at first then plagued with some issues. The Senna will never be an F1 in value but it will recover in the future.

I agree with the 2 over priced options. Everything else seems 'reasonable' for the level of car it is. And for the total cost, it's only about 10% of the base price on options. Some people spend that same figure (£80k) on standard Ferrari's, Bentley's & Lamborghini's. So you've certainly not overpaid for the overall look & finish.

Relatively speaking, none of those options were shockingly expensive (with the exception of the door struts) given the purchase price of the car… but those brakes 😧 that’s a bloody expensive option!! It still amazes me the rip off prices for options by supercar manufacturers and aftermarket parts suppliers for super cars. They see the owners coming a mile away lol. I honestly cannot see ANY of those options as value in ANY WAY when you simply look at the cost of them and ignore the sentimental value it gives you. Paying $13k for different paint to be used? thats robbery regardless of how many spray outs they do. $1000s to NOT paint parts that are already carbon? come on that brake paint? OMG no explanation can justify THAT cost. Robbery. And the center caps, thats extortion at best lol a job that would cost $200 in NZ at best somehow costs 20times that? Love the sharing of these stories though Tim, a real eye opener seeing some people show the options costs (drag times shows the rip off prices for the options on his SF90 WOW!!) and sharing these experience. At the end of the day, value, is in the hands of those it matters too and you see value and thats all that matter :)
