Wow Kev! This was so cool to see! I had no idea how you were planning to add all of those corals to the main tank. Fun to watch! Cool to see how when you took them out of the quarantine tank how fast they closed up. Then after placing them in the tank how they opened back up with amazing color! For me...I enjoyed that the most. Fun video to watch! Will be fun watching them grow! Happy to see your new guy's are doing great as well! Big thumbs 👍 up on this one! ❤❤❤😊

Hey kev, long time brother just wanted to say thanks for the discount from snake river. I've bought from them before and like you really love the quality of their fish. As a long time fish keeper i still get excited to get new fish. I know this has nothing to do with this coral video but i do love salt water. Back in the day i used to keep salt there's nothing more beautiful than keeping corals. Extremely expensive though but do love it. Take care my friend good health and happy fish keeping and god bless you and family. Peace!!

Hi Kev, great video as usual. If one of your corals are telling yo they are not happy, how do you go about repositioning them as they have been glued in ?
@KaveManAquaticsАй бұрын
The glue is very brittle. It takes very little pressure to snap the glue and pull the coral right off. A ton easier than I initially thought myself. But I've already made 3 moves since the video. Its easy as pie to move them 😁
@AKJBubblesАй бұрын
Thanks Kev that is good to know. Note to self, keeping the flat part of the frag keeps coral safe when repositioning. Excited to see the evolution of it all.
@MatthewDeWinterАй бұрын
You could use a suction cup to see where something would look before gluing. Maybe even a small rock if the cup won't stay in a spot.

That was used heavily back in the day, but I believe they found some links to cancer or something, don't quote me on that, and that's why its popularity decreased. If you're going to use that stuff wear a mask.

Could you PLEASE make a video differentiating ich and epistylis? I thought i had an ich outbreak and after treating with no results im back to square 1 and thinking maybe epistylis.
@KaveManAquaticsАй бұрын
I definitely should. Epistylis is the opposite treatment of Ich. Dont raise temp, lower it. A good sign is epistylis will end up over the eyes while ich wont.

@@KaveManAquatics i really hope you decide to make a video on this. Ive lost a few fish in the last couple weeks during my ich treatment not exactly realizing what i was dealing with wasnt ich. by the way I am currently dealing with fish flashing a lot in my african cichlids tank and I do my regular 50 to 80% water change, parameters are consistent not fluctuating based on on my bio-load. not sure what it is, im treating now with paracleanse, any of your recommendations are most welcome. thanks

Sometimes it can be a change in temp or PH during your water changes, start there. Other than that look for signs of Ich or Epistylis on them and treat accordingly.

The GSP and pulsating Xenia will take over the tank, but may work if you isolate. The pulsating xenia stretches itself until it detaches, and floats somewhere else in the tank and attaches so it spreads quickly.
