I highly recommend getting the 5285B camera filter for cameras or even the phone clip. Just buy the clip and get the filter at the same diameter. It'll make your colors pop even more to make them look more like the way your seeing them.

I’m using a lens for my phone on some of the tank close up shots but I do feel like it could look better! Going to look into that model you mentioned! Thank you!

Hi kaveman love your channel! I have a question thats a little off topic to this video but really need your advice, being new to this hobby have learned a lot but i am a little confused because you say not to change the water if you get an ammonia spike when you cycle your tank and dosing prime and stability daily but what if the ammonia spike is really high? Does the ammonia have to be kept in certain parameters for the beneficial bacteria to grow? Will having to high of ammonia kill the bacteria. Im scared for my fish. Thank you so much
@KaveManAquaticsАй бұрын
Prime can detoxify up to 5ppm of ammonia with 5x the recommended dosing amount, safely. But I recommend that if your ammonia reaches 4ppm do a water change to bring it down to a safer level like 1-2ppm and dose Prime accordingly. In other words, don’t water change unless your ammonia rises to 4ppm or more. But it really shouldn’t unless you have too many fish in a small volume of water.
@melissae6863Ай бұрын
@KaveManAquatics Thank you so much for responding to my question. No one really talks about this in videos, and I'm not sure why. You've saved my little babies. You're the best, and I really enjoy your videos.

I have 6 clowns in one tank lol, added them in different times as well. The display tank at my university in the marine facility has about 15 in a 200 gallon tank along with other fish. Definitely doable.

That’s a nice receiving setup! I’m too lazy for that, I just go to a trusted LSF and I pay them to glue my corals to a LR.

Remove pulsing Xenia from the stone, if you wish to like keep Xenia make a small island for that
@KaveManAquaticsАй бұрын

@grapesofwrath5428Ай бұрын
I hope the anemone wasnt stressed enough. You arent supposed to dip anemones, they absorb water and like fishes, dips are toxic to them. Since they absorb water they can carry water bourn pathogens and if you want to quarantine them you just do the same process as you do fish, a QT tank.
@KaveManAquaticsАй бұрын
I wasn’t expecting a Nem in that shipment and hadn’t done any research on them at all. Proof that I’m just a regular aquarium keeper that makes mistakes like the best of us lol Luckily the Nem made it through QT and has now found a spot he likes in the DT. 😁 I won’t be dipping any future nems 😁

I’ll be honest I’ve supported this channel for a long time and Kev has provided us with a lot of great info. But it seems the channel is moving more towards salt water content and I don’t have salt water and I don’t really care for salt water content. So it was great while the African cichlid content lasted but I’m going to have to move on to a different channel. Take care Kev.
@KaveManAquaticsАй бұрын
If you look at the content released in the last 7 days or even the last 30 days it is equally spread between Saltwater and Freshwater. Literally made African Cichlid content 2 weeks ago. Aslo, just because you dont have saltwater now doesnt mean you'll never have it...but anyway, take care. 👋
