I really got into Yugioh after watching the anime in 2015 when I was a junior in high school. Sadly I had no money at the time because if I did I would've bought some stuff. I remember unlimited Magic Ruler 36 pack boxes were $90 and 1st ed. 24 pack boxes were $114. Old School was one of my favorites back then along with Simply of course.

Cool video. I do think glossy GTFK is overvalued at current valuation of 2.5-3k, they're probably closer to 1.5-2k atm. Peak price for wavy GTFK for an astounding $10,500 USD sold price at peak.

The good news for "Casual" collectors is ungraded light play or sometimes near mint cards are still affordable and collectable, I would say this mainly affected Ps9 and 10.

OSE is the most chill OG. Had the most relaxing pack opening and collection videos. Fun watching this top 25 again in the context of the market today. Absolutely can't blame the guy for giving it all up during the peak, it would have been a life changing sum of money. I think he could easily come back to youtube as a yugioh historian. He played when the game was new and he knows the early cards inside out. He saw everything happen first hand and knows how people perceived cards back then vs now. It'd be a really unique insight into the game.

Its cazy the holos go for such a high price but graded packs is such a niche market, i have the first 7 sets in psa 9 1st edition aswell as psa 9 tp3 pack and still only spent around 1K lol wild stuff maybe graded packs will go up since psa doesnt ruin the packs when they grade them now

I also think it’s hilarious we had so many “faux collectors” buying up graded cards and store packs, basically thinking it was the next gold rush. Lots of people wasting lots of money that don’t know the game/market. Granted, I’ve spent ridiculous amounts of money in the last 3 years on cards, too. 😂 My buddy used to run a Needle Worm burn deck back in 2004. He sold all his cards years ago. 😢 I hope the market comes down more. I want to buy up some more cards for the collection.

I think you and a few other Yugioh businessman made the prices to skyrocket. So, don’t be surprised.
@StrictlySealed Жыл бұрын
No sir, what made the prices sky rocket was your government printing money from the sky. They and they alone created the wealth transfer, not businessmen. Thanks for viewing the video.
@antoniopopovski5081 Жыл бұрын
Bro, I live in a country where we don’t have 3x of the staples, not to speak about buying PSA cards. So, yes, the Americans did this and they don’t have a clue on what and how much they spend. But, to spend money, you must be asked that amount, so the sellers skyrocketed the prices. Thank you.
@StrictlySealed Жыл бұрын
@@antoniopopovski5081 A seller has the right to ask whatever he wants, it’s his property. No one tells you how to price your property, don’t tell others. Regardless though, the price is ultimately in the hands of the buyer. If a buyer doesn’t pay, the seller has to drop the price. And if the buyer is given free money by the government, they will pay higher prices and the sellers will raise to compensate. Yugioh is not bread or water. A buyer doesn’t have to pay if they don’t want to. The price is always in the buyers court. So no, it’s not the Americans, it’s the American government. American people don’t print money, government does. Please inform yourself and aim your hatred at the correct target before firing. Thanks for viewing the videos.
@antoniopopovski5081 Жыл бұрын
@@StrictlySealed Omar, I am not hating, I am just saying that the "big players" make the supply and demand of cards. Also, I have a major in Finance, so I know who prints the money, the real money makers are the banks, not FED, FED only prints it because they have the machines, so please do not speak with hatred to me. My point is that the sellers encourage the buyers to spend more money, since the buyers don't have "all the information" about the product. For example, I first started buying singles on ebay, which is far more expensive than tcgplayer or cardmarket. I did not know about tcgplayer or cardmarket and I accepted the ebay price which was higher, without considering any other options, since I did not know any. It is the same with that kind of sales like PSA. No one knows the real price since they are not regular cards, the real price is given by the seller and the buyer can accept or go to another buyer who will give the same price or a bit lower or higher, since there are not infinite PSA 10's of a certain card. I hope I did not offend you, I am watching every one of your videos and have visited your website, so I have created a certain opinion about the big players on the market such as yourself. And no, I am not talking about seller of singles, I am talking about a seller who sells real and nostalgic collectible goods. Thank you.

$800-$1,000 solemn judgment in 2022 from a $200-250 Is at best an $800 increase which is equivalent to a 400% increase not even close to a 500% increase that was said in the video. Please learn how to do elementary school math.
