I took my sons to Montego Bay in 2008. It was my first vacation, and the first time I flew on a jet! I wanted my youngest son to know the island where his father was born. I adored the island, and the Jamaican people! To me it was a dream that finally came true! I have a special memory of Jamaica! The people are beautiful! The island is beautiful! It was the first time I ever saw a pelican! Or an egret. When I saw the pelican I thought it was a seeing a prehistoric bird! And I actually saw a Jamaican tody!

I know what you mean about the water being cold in Jamaica in November & December. Me and my daughter came to Jamaica on a cruise for Christmas a couple years ago. It wasn't that cold, we could still wear shorts but that ocean water was cold. I couldn't get in that water. My daughter and a few people did go in the water. Mila and the boys are have a ball in that cold water, Lol!!

Swaggy you are correct, the sun/daylight affects people's mood. I too get depressed and feel gloomy on cloudy days and long winter months. It is called SAD. Seasonal Affective Disorder.

It's a cultural difference and personal choice. In culture keep kids wholesome not much will you see that until the child's hair grows in length for its intended purpose. Earrings becomes a special occasion when child decides to have ears pierced. Swaggy seems down to earth and natural. I really don't think you'll see the girlie hair accessories anytime soon. She wears girlie clothes so clearing a nice little child.
