I agree, this city is so beautiful with it's tree lined streets and lush greenery. I think more African cities should focus on integrating full beautiful plan life into the layout of the city. Come away from trying to recreate the concrete jungles of the west and embrace the full beautiful plant life and Animals that make Africa unique and special.

All Ethiopian urban centers are well planned. I live in the border town of Moyale at the Kenyan side, Incan tell that moyale town on the Ethiopian side is well planned , before a settlement is built the authorities first plan the road network here in Kenya the towns are hot mess

I agree but that’s not true here, Bahir dar was the first city in Ethiopia to have a master plan because of the Italian settlement there. But it’s great not seeing the Italian influence.

"Beautiful Ethiopia 🇪🇹 😍 ❤️ 💖 ♥️ 💕 🇪🇹!!!" "HAIL Selassie I".. Greetings from The USA to All Ethiopian Peoples... When We were in the throes of prejudice and dispair and didn't know who we were and when we had no hope, The Emporer Hile Selassie was who Abba Yah used to encourage our hearts. We thought, If His Imperial Majesty Hile Selassie is a Real Person and if The Ethiopian Eunuch in The Bible is a real Person, I can believe That The Bible is True 👍 🙏 🙌. I now believe we are the True Hebrew Peoples of The Bible and have come to realize that this is indeed OUR Story... Ethiopia 🇪🇹 helped Us as Hebrews,,, to hold on to The Hope of YAH'S Promises, and trust in YAH'S Faithfulness to His People... "He will never leave US nor Forsake US..." Blessed 🙌 😇 🙏 BE THE NAME OF OUR Heavenly FATHER AND HIS SON YissiYah,,, THANK 😊 YOU FATHER FOR YOUR GRACE AND MERCY TOWARDS YOUR PEOPLE ISRAEL...

We are not Hebrews but Ethiopians from the continent of African! And haile Selassie was a king of Ethiopia.. what you need is Jesus Christ the true Messiah and the way to the father and the truth and the light and the bread of life. Haile Selassie himself used to worship Jesus Christ ... What you believe is Colt and please repent put your trust in Jesus Christ alone the one that died in the cross for you! I am glad I did open it. This is a very nice place. I wish Lagos look like this. I wish all African cities look like this. Stop trying to copy New York or Dubai and do more of this. 'Bahir' is 'Bahari' in Kiswahili language meaning the lake or Ocean. I think 'DAR' means 'City' in the same way Dar-Es- Salam city in Tanzania
@ዮኒሐበሻ2 жыл бұрын
That's amazing this is exactly the same. In Amharic 'Bahir' means sea or lake and 'dar' means side. Bahir dar means lake side. Because the city is located on side of lake Tana which is the largest lake in Ethiopia and it's also the source of Abay (Nile) river.
@dwamburu12 жыл бұрын

@@dwamburu1 Bahar is originally Arabic word and Swahili language is 40 percent Arabic and 60 percent Bantu. Bahar in Arabic means sea. And Dar in Arabic means dwelling and Daru- Salaam means the dwelling of peace. Like how Muslims say Salam Aleikum meaning peace be upon you. Bahar-dar could also be translated in Arabic as the dwelling of sea or Dar fil bahar meaning the dwelling in the sea.

@@AFRICANTIGRESS 🤓🤓🤓 I would just like to say between you and GO BLACK 2 AFRICA has really made me make my mind up and moving to Africa. I'm trying to decide on which country. You and a few others, you all are covering more countries then I can take vacations to. So I love it when you all show us the different countries of Africa. It's truly shameful that the United States do not show us these countries they mostly show us the war-torn parts with people that is supposed to be starving, it's sad they show us the side of Africa that needs to be seen, but they always constantly focus on that part of poverty, like we don't not see enough of it here in the United States. One can come here to the United States and see just as much property and we have no Wars here in the United States. So one would ask what is our excuse? Where you and others show the other side of Africa where one can truly blossom if they work. So once again African Tigress I will like to thank you, for your time that you give to us to show us such sites of Africa.😇😘❤ peace and love to you my sister, and may Our Father God continue to bless you on your Journeys.
