Well, as an actual shot, the Difficulty Factor alone makes it amazing -- a half-turnaround, fading, off the dribble, from the hip, shooting over two bigger players, the trajectory he had to put on the ball with that extra wrist flip. It certainly was harder than Michael Jordan's shot off Ehlo, Christian Laetner's shot for the NCAA title, or even the Russian layup that beat the US in '72. However, it wasn't a go-ahead buzzer beater like those were. Curry's shot merely sealed the victory and put the game away. So it's hard to say. But as the exclamation point of two and a half minutes of pure basketball brilliance, that sequence is hard to beat. Every possession down to that point was precious, and it was Curry again and again and again. Can I also say that the ball they used for the Games, the alternating color of the leather, was really cool. I like the way you could sense the spin and how it produced a floating effect. Time seemed to stand still. With Curry's shot especially, that arc was a thing of beauty. As Mae West once said, "the loveliest distance between two points is a curved line."
