Hi Wilma, thanks for watching and commenting. I do have a terrible time figuring out how much water to give to my plants so this is a win win. 🙂

Very cool! The shape of the leaves look more like a philodendron or pothos then a Hosta. I wonder if dear or groundhogs would try to eat them? They've been having a feast in my garden! I love the finish you put on them. Very unique!

Thanks Kathy - You won't be surprised that I don't really know what a hosta plant is. 🤣🤣🤣 Good luck with your new pets. 🤣🤣🤣

@@UpcycleDesignLab I seen how you did a necklace from the can tabs I have a lot of them if your interested in having them, if not I'm taking them to the recycling place with all my aluminum cans & other aluminum I have. I'm cleaning up my yard & was saving the cans but since they're not worth saving I'm getting rid of all of them, but while I was saving the cans I took off the tabs & saved them to sell as extra weight but if you can use them I'd be glad to let you have them just for the shipping cost.

Wonderful idea and end result! How do you get your aluminium sheets so smooth?

One more question, approx how many leaves did you make for the size of ‘plant’ you made? Likewise how many cans did you use (I’m collecting a variety of sizes up to 440ml). Many thanks

Hi it was a while ago but I am going to guess somewhere between 150 and 200 leaves. Thanks for watching. 🙂

@@UpcycleDesignLab I have a way to go then 😂 but am making one for a container in a shady corner to offset the plants and I thought it would bring reflected light to the corner.

How long will these last outside, and do you use a clear coat on everything?
@UpcycleDesignLab Жыл бұрын
Hi Carla - I can't say how long they will last but I can tell you that these were outside all winter and they currently look the same as when I made them. I did apply a clear gloss finish made by Americana called DuraClear Gloss Varnish. It is my new favorite clear coat finish as they say it is for indoor and outdoor use. It also comes in other finishes if you don't want gloss. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching. 😊
