Canadian snowbird here who winters in Naples, FL. Thanks for the great video about a pristine, unspoiled piece of Florida. A BIG NO to any golf course development in ANY of the Florida State Parks. There are already too many golf courses in Florida and the number of golfers is declining. Thanks for making this stupid plan known. 🇨🇦🇨🇦

Thanks Paul! This was one of your best videos.👍🏼

Glad you liked it! I do like making videos about South Florida more than about all the drama that's happening in real estate but people do like the news about what's going on

Part of what makes Florida a beautiful are the beaches and the parks. We have enough development as it is without adding to it!

As a golfer and winter resident of PB Co…I’m whole heartedly AGAINST this plan. Florida has enough golf courses, pickleball courts, frisbee golf? Who the hell plays that. There’s a frisbee golf course in Delray and I’ve NEVER seen anyone there. Now anyone can use that land, if they build golf courses, only golfers can use it. KEEP IT WILD!!

There are more than 1,250 Floridian golf courses, more than any other State, and many are open to the green fee paying public

I always look forward to your video’s. Thank you.

This is absolutely disgusting and sadistic. Literally EVERYONE except a very tiny group of loud people is against the stupid golf courses. This is truly bizarre, it’s every bit as stupid as the governor randomly dropping bombs all over Florida to help a munitions plant test them. I genuinely can’t believe this

Great tour and b-roll. I know how much work the editing can be.

Couldn't agree more with you regarding JDSP. Is there anything we do can - petition etc. to let law makers know that this is not ok?

There were public meetings scheduled for Tuesday from 3-4 pm. There has been a lot of public outcry and the meetings are being rescheduled. They need larger venues to hold the number of people complaining. Keep an eye on local news for the rescheduled sites and times.

If we have money to "upgrade" our parks, we should fix what people have damaged and make sure maintenance is up to date. Regarding JD specifically, fix the tower, replant all the pines that were burned, upgrade the restrooms, create history tours through Camp Murphy. There are nearly 200 golf courses in Martin and PB Counties. JD damn sure doesn't need to be levelled to add THREE more damn golf courses! And places like Anastasia damn sure don't need a 350 room hotel. This is the dumbest plan I've ever heard, and it is very telling that the hairbrained idiot who hatched this plan is trying to remain anonymous.

Just SAY NO, they have taken enough away from us natives. I remember so much that is gone due to "development" and "tax Dollars" Thank you!

Paul thanks for this video my friend! I mentioned before my family was originally from Florida. The Palm Beach Lake Worth Lantana area. In the early to mid 50s my dad and his older brother were in the scouts in that area. During that time they had scout camping, nature and wildlife learning and activities in this park. At that time it was a newly official park but was used by scouts before officially being made into a park. I had heard from my dad about the wildman of the area and how he would mess with a scare the scouts camping in the area in a fun way. That place has a lot of history and is loaded with all sorts of wildlife. I like golf and Florida is a golf mecca but this is one spot not needed for that. There are many other courses already. We are almost ready to move our family back to Florida and would hope that this park would still be the same as it was when my dad and my uncle used visit the park. I'm curious if this was brought to vote initially or how that works in Florida etc. Can residents petition and then stop process being back to some sort of meeting with the state and our county etc and maybe come up with a new plan. That stuff is done all the time where we live here. Shame to see this park turn into golf courses. Get some money and signatures behind saving the place. Anyway. Great video and tour my friend! Enjoyed seeing this area after hearing from it from my dad!!

I deliver parts for a store here in martin county. I go everyday to one or two golf courses to take parts. Alot of courses already. I see NO parks around here. Just congestion. We need no more courses. My daughter bike rides everyweekend at dickinson. 😊

Welcome to Ron DeathSantis Flori-Duh, where we would rather burn books than read them! -This doesn't surprise me at all. The state government is in the pocket of developers, and a few fat campaign contributions are all it takes to get permission to do pretty much whatever you want. The "free state of Flori-Duh" indeed. The "great outdoors initiative" really ought to be called the "great outdoors giveaway", since you know that outside private groups are going to manage these facilities.....And make money. Great video!

I think this is a continuation of Rick Scott's hairbrained plan that he had to abandon because people complained. He's the biggest piece of 💩 ever.

Absolutely Agree the sign said it best, " For Sale by Owner" call Ron Disantis !!!! He is not good for Florida and removed climate change from legislation and is for the Insurance Litigators and Developers of Florida NOT the people! VOTE 💙

For $60 you can get a years pass that is good for entrance to any state park in Flori-Duh.
