Are you on the fall line in your local ? I’m on the coast in SC and occasionally find fossilized sea life in our rivers down here but they occur up country almost to the state capital (mid-state). Oysters would likely have occurred in marshes or estuaries as they do today. Interesting video. Do your explorations include searches for Indian artifacts ? Thanks for taking us along. After my question about Indian artifacts I went to your site and discovered that you do find them. You probably are aware that many of the ones found in Florida are made from agatized fossil remains such as coral. They’re prized by collectors because they don’t occur everywhere.

@MrStvwinks2 жыл бұрын
Kyle, great video as usual, great camera work and those oysters are great! Also, uncommon, I would say. You should cut some slabs around a cm thick so sun can shine through them and sell them as specimens when polished. I liked the wing ideas! Also, the small pieces and "off cuts" you would have left over would make amazing art pieces as ingredients in more mosaics. I can think of so many creative ideas and even if you only sell the oysters whole I think they would make you a nice hunk of change just for their fossil value. You guys ought to go back and load up on them... I've never seen those in any gem and mineral show I have been to. Shoot, embed some flat unpolished pieces in resin for coasters or paperweights or just for display....let your imagination go wild.
