That's not good. I'm gonna go make a tea, can't drink coffee because it destroys my stomach. I homeschool. Nobody but me is allowed to mess with my son's mind. And even though I make him mind me, I've deliberately not suppressed dissent in my home. He's allowed to disagree, passionately if he feels the need. The stipulation is that he has to be respectful and I still have the final say but the constraint upon myself is that I hear him out. There have been a few times he had a point and I relented. He will be a man one day and he needs to be a man that knows his own mind well enough to advocate for his own interests. I got pneumonia last year and ended up in the emergency room because my oxygen levels were scaring my mom and she called an ambulance. When the doctor came in my 7 year old son started asking questions. And she was amused until he started telling her what she couldn't do. All you could hear when he told her she wasn't allowed to give be a vaccine was my ragged breath. I knew then he was gonna be alright. She didn't either. That's what he needs to be able to do when he's grown as a husband and a father.
