If you are patient, this feral cat will eventually become approachable and you'll be able to pet it and maybe be able to cuddle with it. Remember how some of your other animals were unapproachable, but you eventually won them over. You will with this cat, too. Now you got to think of a name for him, too.

Grandpa loved the video and I do watch everyone of your shorts I love them. You adding the little gray cat to the mix of farm animals brought tears to my eyes. The fact that you found out he was going in and out of the garage to eat and sleep was wonderful. It’s like you said you can’t just put the food and water down and go on. You have to and need to observe them and spend time with them like you do. Your animals love you and we love you. You have the kindest heart and you talk to your animals with love in your voice and your heart. We need more people like you. I am the same way with my animals. It was so nice of them to give you the gates and then not want any money for them that was an extra blessing. People like them do things like that for people they care about. There are still kind caring and loving people in the world. Like you said now days people are Leary of others they don’t know. You have to be that way. I am glad you had a great visit with the both of them and most of all you were able to relax and take some time to get to know just a couple of the Adler Farm Family. Stay safe you and grandma. God Bless and Happy New Year. Oh yes I am so glad you found a food that Smokey will eat.

That is awesome that you are taking care of that gray cat. On July 2nd when it was unbelievably hot out I was driving on a busy intersection and seen two kittens. They were maybe 6 to 8 weeks old. I stoped and picked them up. They were crying so much by the road and no one stoped except me. One was a little tortoise girl and the other one was a little gray boy. When I put them in the car with the AC on they fell asleep almost right away. At first I thought they died from the heat. I still have them. They are little monsters at times. But I love them to death. My daughter would have loved them also. On the 4th of January marks a year since her passing of massive internal organ failure. I'm sorry I don't usually tell people that. I guess I just needed to vent.

God Bless Karen & Scott! There are still a lot of good people in this world! If that kitty sticks around, you definitely have a mouser which you need. (Maybe God sent you kitty) I always get a giggle or 2 out of feeding time & the wormy dance! After the trouble Smokey had, it is so wonderful to see her being her old self. I've had pets stop eating a food they have eaten for years & then I have to figure out what new food they will eat! My Buddy cat is like Batman & Bruce as he likes to get on my last nerve sometimes..he will make sure I am watching & will do something naughty as if to say "what are you gonna do about it?" All 3 are boys, & all 3 have names that begin with B..hmmmm.

If Smokey stops eating again try making her food. I make my dogs food it is very easy. I use 2 cups rice, a bag of frozen peas and carrots, 2 lbs of ground hamburger. Cook the rice and peas and carrots in a rice cooker I use bone broth instead of water to cook the rice. Brown the beef. Mix it all together and keep in a ziplock bag in fridge. My 13 year old dog was on her way out and the vet said to make her food to see if that helps. Well 3 months later she is back to acting like a 5 year old. Oh you can add eggs to the rice food to raw or cooked. I also use grass feed beef from a farm in Okla. You can also use left over chicken or turkey instead of beef. Just shred the chicken/turkey.

Now before you burn that cardboard you can turn it into mulch builder, water holder. You know how hot it was this past summer. It would help hold moisture in the planters. I have been saving dog food bags. I plan to turn them into planters for tomatoes. poke some holes in the bottom , fill then up with dirt and they will become planting bags. Large boxes can be used to grow potatoes. Boxes will last the season. Happy New Year!!!!

I have had similar issues with dog food, and discovered through my vet asking me the right questions, that by keeping the food in an open bag, and not in an airtight container, I was allowing it to go stale, after a while. It also can go rancid if it gets to hot. I have not had a problem since fixing those issues😁

I agree with Scott and Karen. Don’t change a thing. I see your shorts. I like them but don’t always comment. Prayers and Blessings always ♥️🙏♥️🤗🥰

My son & daughter-in-law have a dog with a picky appetite. They got Salmon Fish oil and put a couple squirts on his dry food. And he eats it up. It's good for their coat too

Thank you to Karen and Scott for the new gates. ❤️ I'm so glad Smokey is eating better, he was probably just having an off couple of days.
