She probably doesn’t recognize real hunger. Could be anxiety for example, then she uses that cue to eat so she calms herself. Everyone wants to feel good. Food is not her answer though.

This woman's mom reminds me of my dad who is obsessed with feeding me since I was a young teenager. Eventually I become obese. When I tried to control my diet and my eating pattern my father lost it and started emotionally blackmailing me by saying how hard he works to cook. The worst thing is he makes really unhealthy food and also adds extra fat in every dish he makes. I moved out a few months ago and started losing weight by 18 hour fasts and body weight exercise. The crazy thing is that my dad still calls me to come and take some food because he made extra. It took me many years to realise that my father is a narcissist piece of turd.

Grains such as oats and specifically brown rice could do her good as well but because of her weight honestly if she TRIES to eat healthy while staying under the limit she'll drop pounds. She laughs when Dr, Now confronts her about her reasoning for overeating. He then slides in “there will be some elements of behavior issues to address”. @MEMyselfandIKN1984
@MEMyselfandIKN1984 2 жыл бұрын
@@222222ania she may as well be, though - for a young girl her size, every breakfast like that only increases the risk of her dying young. I used to be 140lbs overweight, and I know only too well that excuses like “at least it’s not as bad as eating a Big Mac” only serve to compound matters - justifying bad choices by comparing them to potentially worse choices doesn’t make them any less bad, it simply serves to encourage more bad choices. And while it’s true that bacon is regarded as a breakfast food, for someone her age, who’s her size, it most definitely shouldn’t be. She needs help to address her food addiction, not bacon. Please don’t take my comment to mean that I don’t feel for her; I agree, food addiction is, in some ways, harder than most other addictions as you can’t go “cold turkey” - instead you have to learn to constantly control/limit your intake of something that you’re addicted to, forever - it’s really bloody hard, and I speak from experience with that very issue, but nevertheless it’s something she’ll have to learn to do if she wants to save her own life, and her mum should be helping her to make those changes by not providing her with food that is killing her

The sad thing is that few acknowledge that the problem is not "food", but _the wrong sort of food._ Nobody ever got to 600lb+ by eating fruits, vegetables, pulses and wholegrains. I too battled weight and had a fantastic doctor who sent me to a series of dietitians, phycology doctor who taught me about food portioning amounts,etc. He always says his operation is only a tool to achieve success but the hard work only you can do. Even with enablers the patient has a choice to put the food into the mouth. You really do need that back up support besides the instruments the doctors use have limitations of depth of reach and risk. It needs the patient to be a responsible participant to qualify and the head space to achieve weight loss. I've lost weight after sheer hard work and kept it off. I had a blockage and one phone call to dr and had an Emergency operation next morning. He has my respect at all times. Even with covid I get bi- annual blood work done and flow up telehealth calls twice a year from my Surgeon that to this day puts the responsibility back in my hands and makes me accountable to both myself and him. Nutrition and vitamins are so important for bone health too. I have lived an extra 25 years with a heart issue and diabetes and my life is a gift from a caring surgeon who has my back at all times. A man who travelled the world for decades studying to give us the gift of a healthy life. I am forever grateful that he chose his profession. Good luck to all those putting in an effort.

Good lord, I've never heard of someone so young with no underlying health conditions struggle with DVTs like that. She must literally have laid around not moving since she was an infant. Wish her the best. Food isn't her problem though, it's her mom.

When you stop ( snacking ) it really does help! I was 210 pounds, last summer. I went home, and cried myself to sleep. I woke up, the next morning. Started taking my little dog, out for a walk every morning, sometimes in the afternoon too, if I’m home. I also stopped snacking, and I’m now 196. 😊 Still kind of high I know.. but everyone loses weight differently, and at their own pace. Trust the process, you will get there. 😊

That’s great! I’m on a weight loss journey too. When I was in high school (9-10th) I was 215 pounds. When I was in 11-12th grade, I was still in the 200s but a little bit lower. Now at 22 almost 23, I’m 193 pounds. I want to get down to 114 pounds. I walk my Mini Aussie Shepherd everyday. She keeps me active. I love snacking too, but I try to eat only one snack a day.

I'm not saying that she doesn't have a problem but her mom is definitely not helping,she could've had some fruits and just the cereal or the eggs, for someone so young is really bad. She walks unaided so she can make breakfast for herself,her mom is enabling her

She needs psychological help to find out what's driving her to eat and tests to see if anything is up hormone-wise, medication reviewed to see if that is increasing her appetite, weight gain and cholesterol levels and then she needs to do gentle exercise like walking and swimming. She's only 24, it's so sad. Plus addressing her diet and portion size. If she's not diabetic she can have fruit for snacking, and for breakfast. Big stews and casseroles of chicken, lentils, beans and vegetables will fill her up, and wholegrain rice can be served with them.

Yeah, I have to say, I am not a picky eater at all and have been used to eating on a budget in life, but lentils and beans are the one group of foods I just will not eat. I hate them. It's a bummer because I know they are cheap and healthy protein. I just eat a lot of chicken and eggs.

Her condition is so severe she should cut out all easy starches and only eat low-sugar fruits to satisfy the sweet tooth while eating a nice mix of high quality eggs, fish, and veggies elsewhere. The insulin spikes stem from the likes of the white bread and cereal she eats. That's the hormone at work but people treat this as a "left-brain" issue when it's an insulin issue.

The root of the problem is at least partially her mom. If she's been fat since she was 1, her mom has definitely always been over-feeding her.
