Nitpick: It doesn't end on a powerchord, it ends on a minor chord. Root on the E string, 5th on the A-string, minor 3rd on the D-string. Fretted like an Em, but sounds as a Dm because the guitar is detuned to D.

What I've noticed lyrically about Epitaph is that many of the songs follow the same sort of "lyrical story". Its very clear that the first 4 or 5 songs at least are meant to tell a story of someone who was betrayed, left at the lowest point with everyone's eyes on them, and leads into Diminished to B where the character lets his anger flow. "Beast will be wise, feast. An eye for an eye."

For me Stabwound in all of the death metal I ever listened to takes a special place aside from everything. IN complexity of riffage, the general idea behind the classicism in terms of composition that was used and the insane musicianship which needed to play it. A testament to genius of Muhammed and a personal challenge for me to be able to play.
@respa1656Ай бұрын
we've trusted necro about the new album, but they stabwound us, bcz only two albums was enough. It's just a one song and u can learn all of capabilities in extreme music. jst wow, GOD level, Thank you for Deep Dive.
@SylverANGLАй бұрын
Thank you both for the context. Very nice to have live guitar excerpts. Indeed those songs are very well balanced, something terribly hard to find in tech death these days. Also I was shocked to realize how few riffs were in the song, again far from the riff salad virus we often ear

Fun fact: All the bass solos in the album were composed and recorded by Christian which he has mentioned in podcasts over the last couple of years

13:50 I would say that it modulates to G minor (which corresponds to D Phrygian) since the repeated solo section features an F# and the harmony is very much drawn to Gm.
