You Wouldn't Believe Restaurant Like This Exists In Hungary!! BEST Duck + Goulash Soup!

If you are looking for the best Hungarian food and quality service along with spectacular atmosphere, with traditional folk music playing in the background while you enjoy your food.. This is the place to be.. Sári Csárda! Satisfaction at its fullest. In this video I had arrived in a village at a beautiful wooden Hungarian restaurant with horses on the fields and so much open space and greenery. I wasin search for a traditional Hungarian experience and I believe I sure did find the right place. The exterior and interior was absolutely eye catching. I realised inside the restaurant had some Hungarian decorations. For starters I ordered a traditional Hungarian Goulash beef soup which was really creamy and rich, the beef was absolutely delicious. For my main course I had ordered duck which was actually the best duck I ever tried. The meat was so soft, juicy and tender served with kapusta (red cabbage) with mashed potatoes and creamy sauce, the presentation of the food was outstanding. I had a Hungarian beer called Dreher and shot of their traditional peach palinka (brandy). While I was enjoying my meal I was listening to traditional Hungarian music which they were playing on background and that also gave it a traditional Hungarian feeling.

I myself impressed by this place and im hungarian. Maybe blind luck, but great choice for sure! Have you recruited a cameran on the spot for some of the scenes during lunch? :D I noticed the two 0.3 beers on your bill as well, perhaps that was the deal with the person. I dont know about the sauce in the duck dish, but the cabbage was steamed with apple so you were right about the fruity flavour. Also this type of mashed potato is a bit different instead of mixing the boiled potato with butter, they toast onion on duck or goose fat and use that instead of the butter in the mix.

Actually that wasn't a lake, it's the Danube. The "csarda" is old style of restaurants, based on straw roofed mud houses, with very traditional food only. Sari csarda is one of the biggest and oldest in the region.

Hey mate! I'm from Esztergom, Hungary, just across the border from Sturovo. Esztergom is a lovely place for a bike trip too, you'll find restaurants like this one there too and if you get on top of the city (to Bazilika for example) you'll have a perfect view to your own country. :) I'll say it's worth a trip if you are nearby. @@AndreTraveler True we have a few nice beers but Hungary is more of a wine nation. For such experience if you got a chance try to visit the "Szépasszony-völgy" in Eger, or the town of Etyek which is somewhat close to Budapest to the west.

Very big portions, soup also. Im very surprised. Looks veery delicious. Gulas soup with bread is regular main dish and many people eat only gulas soup for lunch, because is very rich of ingredience. You ate 2 times main dish 😀 i trust you, i imagine, you must be veeery full... My next steps would be chill and joint after that meal 😀

This restaurant and its surroundings in Hungary remind me of some wine estates in South Africa. They usually have similar buildings with whitewashed walls and a thatched roof, and some also have a lake. A good example would be the Spier wine estate in Stellenbosch.

As a Hungarian visited Sári csárda once, I can recommend it too :) For more traditional drink I recommend a starting Pálinka and then a good wine at this place. The beer Dreher is a very average beer, there are much better smaller breweries if you want to go for beer.

The mashed potatoes were fried onions and the sauce was a simple sour cream and red pepper sauce I think. Goulash soup is a main dish in itself full of meat and vegetables, so I'm not surprised that you couldn't eat the duck. 😅 Welcome in Hungary, Have fun! 😎
