You Am I were always the tightest band on any bill they were on. Being that rehearsed let them lash out when they wanted, and still be in sync. Last time I saw them was when they were touring the Hi Fi Way/Hourly Daily anniversary shows. One of the best concerts I've ever been to. I think Tim is perhaps the best song writer Australia has ever produced.
@benwatson34823 жыл бұрын
@@Neilios1000 agreed, Tim is an under rated gem. I saw them play support in a pub bar in Chicago one time. After Tim lit the bar on fire the main band came out and chastised the crowd for not appreciating what they had just witnessed. Was a fun gig. A shame they were never able to crack the US.

Hey, look into Power Pop as a Genre in general you may really really love what you find. Look up the album "Frosting on the Beater" by The Posies. You wont regret it friend. After that if your interest has been peaked look up "International Pop Overthrow" by Material Issue. Power pop ended up evolving into a strange bridge between Punk Rock and The Beatles by the mid 80s onward. Its a great genre and a perfect balance between aggression, desperation, honesty, and existentialism. Good stuff.
