Just an idea for selling your white flowers from an ex-flower shop owner. Instead, doing an all-white bouquet. You should make a white dominant bouquet, but add lime/green and that soft peachy zinnia you grow. Another idea is how to get wedding customers, a lot of brides on budgets do their own flowers. You could do a few wedding shows and make a wedding-specific website and sell your flowers in make-your-own bouquet boxes. You could do a white box, a pink box, etc. I would market it to local weddings only since you do not want to mess with shipping. Send some samples to wedding venues/coordinators in the summer when your flowers are at your best.

Aphids are attracted by white and yellow. For other insects this might also be the case. That is why white and yellow plants get cetrain deseases more and are eaten more. Yellow tulips are for example hard to grow, because the aphids spread virus more in them. (Because they are more attracted to white than red,..) You could use a white or yellow crop they like more to destract them, but that is a temporary solution.

Rudbeckia triloba also can take a little shade. I grew it this summer from seed in part shade and it did die off some in transplanting even with plenty of moisture in Michigan. It did better when I just left it alone rather than try to move it. Delightful short-lived perennial blooming in its second year, readily self-sows, prefers moderate moisture and tolerates heat and drought once established. I have seen it in a dry shady suburban curb strip doing just fine and seeding around the neighborhood. I have collected seed in a full sun prairie, where it must have experienced dry heat. It looks like you have enough seeds though. All the Best!

The orange flowers and pinkish purple little flowers work well together because of their relationship on the color wheel. Color theory is so remarkably accurate. It's so funny because I live in zone 10B where everything could just grow outside. There's never a freeze. And I have a lot of bulbs because they just go and go and go. Someday I'll get better. And your video keeps inspiring me to try.

Good to see you. May I respectfully comment on your plan to "pop off the heads" of the gomphrena for your ornaments. I make those ornaments, so I understand you wanting to use the gomphrena in them. If you pop off the heads, where and how will you dry them? Instead, what I have done is grab a handful and cut the stems about 4" long and rubberband them to hang them to dry and then pop off the heads once they're dry. I dry the statice this way too (about a 4" stem). Anyway, it was an enjoyable video.

Is it worth doing shorter bouquets and selling them at a lower price? That way you are able to sell the flowers that have short stems. On the other hand, it will cost more time and effort. Unless you just do straight bunches at a ridiculously low price to draw in customers. Just thinking that it will allow you to use the stems that would otherwise not be able to use. Another suggestion is to use them as tried flowers and make corsages with them or sell them to florists for a low price for wedding/ prom work

Serina, I love when you do the seed hauls like this & how you provide that extra bit of info with each variety! I'd be really interested to see you do an experiment one week with the white & Blush bouquets, where you did like half of the normal bright mixed bouquets, & half the whites. I love both types, but I'd definitely go for the whote/blush, however- I think if there were just a couple of the white bouquets , the brights would would "overpower" the whote/Blush bouquets & I may not notice them. So I'd be really curious how they did if you made them more of a "feature" & did half & half. I'd also be I terested in seeing you do something like 1/3 Brights, 1/3 whote/blushes, 1/3 moody colors (like dark purple & wine flowers, with like Mahogany splendor hibiscus foliage, maybe a touch of light pink, like a stem or 2 of the sapanaria)
