Serina, I am happy you will not be giving up on flowers. We have a neighbor here who sells flowers and vegetables in their urban farm stand. I am a flower farmer, too. I would never give up my flower farming dream. You deserve everything in life. Don't give up on your dreams that will keep you up and running. Don't give up on selling flowers. i have seen so many people sell from their backyard. I grew just on 500 sqft and made $ 1000 a week. You can do this too.

How often do you water bulbs?

I'm still looking for someone to explain to me what they do with the flowers they don't sell. Are they in a position to be used in teas or for seed saving or dried flowers? I'm always looking to utilize everything. The question arises because of the timing of when the flowers are picked. I have not attempted this yet so I don't know if there's a significant difference in timing of when things get picked. I'm getting into whole Leaf teas and medicinal herbs for teas and I'm wondering if I should just go with one Garden for that and another Garden for cut flowers because of the timing of the harvest. I'm just getting into this and I'm an overthinker. I've got vegetables down pretty well so I decided to stretch out into cut flowers for my little farm gate sales project. As someone who will not be inclined to create bouquets I'm also wondering if anybody has any luck selling the individual flowers separated and letting the purchaser decide how to create their own bouquet.

Serena- just wanted to send you some good thoughts. I would love to see how your apartment downstairs is coming along - and where will you be doing your early sowing? I’m in zone 6 and we are starting a clean up soon? I looked out on your store - hoping for your old t-shirt with the veggie goddess on it? Any chance of you bringing that back? Hang in there - your flowers are beautiful!

Women DO tend to give part of themselfes away in marriage and motherhood. We prop up others while sublimating ourselves. We are fools for love, arent we? I'm glad you are ready and have tound yourself again. Yes, it may be a struggle, but how rewarding when you come out on top.

I'm sorry you have to deal with another person's mental illness. You and your children deserve better. You've got this. Protect yourself and your children, guard their hearts, and minds. I pray that Ian gets the help he needs.

You mean Becca, and Becca seems to be doing just fine. It's been difficult for both of them, but they can now both be their authentic selves, and live life on their own terms, while continuing to be great perents to their kids, who are now lucky enough to grow up with more empathy and tolerance, than you cleary are capable of.

You made a huge dent in the mulch pile! Specially since you had to haul it so far:)! I am so excited for you to see you getting to build your own place and watch it flourish with all your blood sweat and tears❤❤❤ I started on mine 7 years ago. And it's amazing to see how amazing my soil is now❤. Going from hard packed red clay rock filled ground to fluffy black gold full of mycelium strands and life❤❤❤.

Serena, I really appreciate all that you have taught me about growing and arranging flowers. About which flowers work where, and when to expect certain blooms. I only arrange flowers for my church, but it is a real joy to do, and you have added to that joy!😊

I can’t wait to see what you do next. I’ve enjoyed the farm videos and appreciate all the knowledge you have shared. But as a home gardener I can wait to see what we learn from you next. I’m sure you are going to have an amazing year with exciting changes. I can’t wait to see you in the backyard oasis I’m sure is in your future. Look out world!!! She’s only getting started. I’m sure it will be a slow transformation- and that’s how it is for us all. Or at least those of us that are still waiting for that lottery win, but it will be great to see each little change. It will also be great to see any new hobbies you pick up. Take us along for the ride. When my son left the nest I picked up pottery. I met so many people along the way that were so generous with knowledge and kindness. I think I enjoyed the people more than the clay. When you find yourself down, missing your old life, know you have many people rooting for you.

I can relate so much to what you say. When the business is eating you up and nothing is left things get worse.. So strong u identified the reasons and the deeper sense of thar journey. You and your family always were a big inspiration for me. Had a split up, was not sure if I could keep the farm, but was able to continue. Now new partner who is dragging me out of this shit, helping me to achieve successfull seasons, everything fine. I had my first child in September, competely exhausted I continued working at the farm in October. New Spring is going to happen and I hope I can keep myself, my family and my business happy together. Do you think it is possible to heal what seperated you? Wish you all the best ❤🌸❤🌸❤🌈✨️
