I just want to ask why isn't international student covered? It's not like we don't pay any taxes for our tuition? Just the “International Differential Fee” we pay each year alone is more than the tuition some local student pays, and it is also being taxed on, plus the tuition, we pay double the amount with tax, we are also student in need of help during this pandemic, how are we any different than any student? Not only flight stopped most of us from going home or going anywhere, but also we're not getting any support from the local government?

So true. When they pay 10000 we pay 35000 and lot of taxes. This so unfair.
@OlchOlch4 жыл бұрын
@@TricksAndTechs130 I know right, we pay more than double the tuition with taxes and don't get any help from the government when in crisis, not even a penny or a coupon, or let's say even 100 dollar grocery card would be helpful. But nope, nothing, but we do get the right to work more than 20 hour per week now tho, cause they don't have enough health worker they want our help???

No one forced you to come here. If you aren’t happy with the tuition cost, don’t come here. No one held a gun to your head while you got on a plane.
@OlchOlch4 жыл бұрын
@@fraserpaulina Yeah but now I'm here and paid the extra money and tax, don't I deserve at least the same right as other students? Or at least a little sympathy ? I don't think the government even mentioned anything about international student community, at least show that you care, don't need your God Damn money!!
@fraserpaulina4 жыл бұрын
Olch123456 Olch123456 Would I get sympathy if I was in your country? Would YOU care if I couldn’t afford to feed myself? No. I wouldn’t get $2 for a slice of bread if I was in your country. Your government would much quicker feed my starving, rotting body to a dog... but for some reason, you want thousands of dollars from our government, when yours wouldn’t give me a scrap of old food. ALSO, international students have tons of money. We all know your visa criteria. You need enough funds to cover your tuition costs, and a minimum of 10 grand on top of that for living expenses. The eligibility criteria outlines that you are NOT ALLOWED to rely on part time jobs while studying in Canada. Otherwise, our country would have never accepted your application. You are on a STUDENT visa - not a work visa. Your student visa criteria (THAT YOU SIGNED AND AGREED TO) states that you must have enough funds saved up to get by without relying on a part time job, while you complete your studies in Canada. So stop begging for handouts when you promised our government that you had the appropriate funds to get you by.
