I bought this for my 14 year old son about two months ago and told him to practice everyday. My son hits 50+balls off a Tanner tee and I throw him 25-50 soft toss everyday since we got the Rope Bat. I am always skeptical about new training aids, unfortunately, I own most of the training aids, this time, it didn't disappoint. My son plays on a comp travel baseball team and for his Jr high baseball team. Last season my son's batting average was a .294 and was the king of singles. This season my son has a batting average of. 544 with 10 games played this season. The last weekend tournament, my son hit one double, and a triple right up the first base line past the right fielder. My son seems to have more confidence at the plate and is hitting harder and more consistently. When the Rope Bat first arrived my son was trying to hit the balls off the tee and couldn't hit one for the first 30+ balls and finally figured it out. I let the other kids on my son's comp team try the Rope Bat off a tee before the last tournament, on average, it would take each kid 3-8 minutes before they were making contact, some of the boys got frustrated and stopped trying. I told my son that if he practices everyday, with 50 hits off the tee everyday, he would see an increase in batting average, so far, I was right. My son developed bad habits with the Swing Rail and started to drop his hands and cast a little bit. This thing is legit and my only regret is that I should have bought this year's ago. It's a little expensive. However, well worth every penny. Seriously, this exceeded every expectation that I had for a batting aid. If you play or coach baseball, buy this immediately and watch your Swing improve.

First time I used a rope bat, I was in college almost 30 years ago. My coach used to say good hitters can hit with anything. We use rope bats and garden hoses to force a tight rotation and whip the bat. I have been using a rope bat with my players and batting students for years. I made mine out of Home Depot parts. They are not that nice looking, but work the same.

Go out and have fun believe in yourself and the fact you put in the work, most importantly don’t be afraid to fail it’s part of the game and it’s a hard game.

Interesting, this may help my sons bat speed without the constant roll over ground balls. He hits hard, just a little trouble squaring the ball properly.

Also looks like it going to keep you chest on the ball. I think it's great for young kids. My 7 year old is going to love it. His shoulders open up and this should help.

Wondering the same thing. Can't tell if this would help or hurt a hitter who struggles with bat drag. Any experience there?

At 1:40 he mentions younger hitters can get away from themselves and cause some bad habits using this device. Could anyone elaborate?

I see habit of "around" follow through instead of "out" following through!

My concern is the overuse of this rope device effect on the going from its light weight to the heavier weight of a real bat

I feel it may cause not "finishing" and and yet going around! That creates a slice worse than a golfer and then have get out pumped up basketball or sandballs!

I’m teaching my kid the opposite. I want front arm bar. He hits way harder and way more consistent. I won’t let him near this thing.
@jefffinney42332 жыл бұрын
What? You are going to teach your kid habits that he will have difficulty getting out of! You can’t use a barred arm without swinging around the ball. U should consider hiring someone seriously

@@jefffinney4233 babe Ruth arm barred. Griffey jr. Massive arm bar. It absolutely works. My kid is hitting way harder now that he arm bars. I’m 56 and tried it myself and went from 200’ off the tee to 260’ in two days. I’ll never go back.
