Wow, the Goruck guy. Actually bag reviewers don't have to be in the studio. It will be interesting to see a video how bags and gears are put out into the real world, pack out, beaten in dirt, exposed to elements, etc. A cross between hiking and bag review videos, city exploration, etc. close up of the bag and gears every now and then. I'll watch it.

Yeah, filming outside is what I have been trying to do with my last vlog style reviews. I'm not much of a hiker, but I hope to capture more outside shots. The DJI pocket 3 has become quite essential for that style of filming

I did the Brown Buffalo / Canvasworker course last Fall. As Bo noted, it will give you a ton of insight into how packs are designed and created. It's also a ton of fun. Douglas Davidson is a fantastic guy, and I highly recommend the experience, an absolutely fabulous week.

Thanks for sharing your experience with that course. Sounds like a lot of fun. Would love to do the course as well in the future

What does "make a bag" mean? Like, are you legit sewing and doing zippers etc?
@Ike_C3 ай бұрын
@@PanaMaJwaaRd Oh that's it exactly. You learn the basics of the Juki machine by making a very nice tote bag. Sewing through multiple laters of fabric, turning corners, and learning how to backstitch are basic skills. Then we moved on to the backpack The shoulder straps are made of layers of foam and fabric, then webbing and hardware are added. You build up a back panel with an integrated laptop compartment, then add zippers. Eventually the combined top, bottom and sides are mated to the front and back panels. That part was tough, and took real patience and concentration. But the amazing thing was all of our packs turned out great, and Douglas is a superb mentor. None of our group of three had ever touched a sewing machine before, and I left with a newfound respect for the professionals who sew these packs for a living.

Love this podcast style. But then again, im into podcasts. Not sure how the crossover is from edc enthusiast to podcasters, woupd love to know analytics on things like this. Also as a avid bag watcher, i would love to be on a podcast as i feel like i have lets say... "Stronger opinions" and i dont have a channel to protect so would deff hear those stances for sure 😂. Great convo

Thanks for watching. Do you mean watch time analytics? I can say that adding a video version helped to attract more listeners, but I feel my podcast is (due to the niche) much smaller in reach than many other podcast areas

I respect your opinion and you are free to say whatever you like. But please keep in mind that I live in a different country than you are. So it is safe to assume situations might differ. In my previous Statement I mentioned that not masking up spreads viruses if you are sick. My issue was with people who were clearly sick and coughing and sneezing, that would not mask up while standing close to other persons. I did not say that not masking up is the cause of COVID. My issue was with spreading it. Especially with the person's here in Germany who were obviously sick and did not care for the people around them. But again: you are entitled to your opinion and it is sad that you took my statement this way.
