Having just taken the You'll Hear It pledge, what I want to know is when are we going to get an Adam and Peter duo album?

One thing that occurred to me was that, even though you feel like you know your partner's playing, this moment is unique and your partner (for example Adam) is always in process - always evolving and changing, and only part of the confluence of influences that led to this unfolding moment. Who he is and what he may play today, or in this moment, might be different from what we think based on past experience, so remaining open to the moment and its freshness is really vital. Thank you, Peter, for pointing that out... and to Adam for bringing up the importance of leaving space for the partner to have room to breathe into the song.

I think this video expresses one of, if not the, core tenets of music making; Conversation. Whether its the conversation between two musicians or the conversation between the musicians or the audience, this is the quintessential tenets of why we make music. It's a conversation being had in the moment, and just as in a conversation, if one person is not communicating effectively, it doesn't work. Thank you, gentlemen, for expressing something that I've been trying to understand and wrap my head around since I started seriously playing music.

It’s time to record live. You guys are great I think because you love the music, the instrument, the journey to attempted mastery and each other. All elements are definitely present when you play!

Super! When you are improvising like this, from which moment are you aware of the keys and scales you’re in? Or are you just thinking chords?
@yesto9676

You are aware of all these because they are connected to eachother. But you know you dont have to think about the scales, probably just chords and a little about the key

Great music. I used to listen to Marian and her guests not only for the duet but for the technical tidbits they shared. Your show is the perfect balance of theory, tricks, information, and great music, especially today. What's the name of the last tune you played? I hear it a lot, but I rarely get the title? Also "You23 Are23" must be sung in 3/4. I forgot it was in 4/4.

Just curious, ever play with another musician that just wants to show off so not necessarily complimentary to the music... For example I've heard blues solos that doesn't sound like music just a jumble of very fast and flashy notes... Great lesson in playing tasteful music
