I haven't had an ovarian cyst but I have PCOS. They didn't give me an ultrasound as I was a teenager and they said teenagers tend to have cysts anyway?? I didn't have extreme pain either, but I have one friend who would vomit from the pain each month. She is now on extreme painkillers, and has been told the same as you with it will diminish when she has kids. The treatment of women's health is disgusting, especially when you're black or an immigrant with an accent, like myself and my friend. I feel your anger, I hope the scans show what's wrong and it gets sorted soon! Really enjoy this style of video ☺️

Good luck with the tests. Consider getting a laparoscopic exam to check for endometriosis. I don't know how hard those are to get in the U.K. And if you do have endo, make sure they don't just fob you off again with birth control or medicines to stop your period and send you on your way. I had period problems since age 12. Laparoscopic endo diagnosis at age 20. Then suffered greatly for 15 more years before getting excision surgery because I kept being told nothing could be done except birth control or hormones to stop my periods. None of which actually worked. I had organ damage and the damage to my colon is permanent.

this resonates with me, that anger that you're feeling is valid and necessary. None of this is your fault, the system that in place is so broken , especially for women like us with chronic illnesses. Keep going!

Yes. I’m on the same boat . I’m getting ovarian cyst removal surgery in 8 days. I been in pain for 3 months now . I can’t even work or excercise

I have a 16x12cm ovary cyst on my left side. Had no idea up until a month ago. I had a pain under my rib. Went to the hospital they did ct test and when I tell you I almost passed tf out on how big this monster is. Now they gotta take my two tubes and my left ovary. I'm so scared so so scared

Never had cysts before my autoimmune disease. I'm older, had 2 babies now and they seem to be getting worse. Finally got my irons up after 7 years and one cyst and fibroid later, it tanked all 7 years of what I did to battle anemia. No one likes to hear it but the truth is chronic illness means "Life is more difficult". No, it's not fair but just how it is. Not gaurented for you but what help me was, progesterone a round of intravenous steroids and a couple weeks of prednisone. It takes a lot more to help us too. I hope they can figure out something for you soon. 😉🙏

I can't complain to much about my doctors because they asked me to do the ultrassound as soon as possible when I complained about abdominal pain. I was not going to my checkups in the last years, so my error! The doctor who will remove my cyst was really upset with me because she could have found the cyst a lot sooner and when it was smaller. Now probably I will loose one ovary to my dermoid cyst. Of course, to be able to pay for the ultrassound was a plus to make things happen a lot faster. I can't even imagine the pain a lot of woman are facing right now during the covid crise in my country because there is no schedule for not emergencies.

Very interesting, feeling how the bloating and pain receded within approximately two months made all the difference, I simply go’ogled the latest by Tilly Strankten and her Ovarian Cyst Guide and although it really took about 10 weeks for it to totally shrink and vanish I’ve never felt so light and relaxed.
