What about all the innocent passengers on both flights ? Doesn't sound very hands off to me :/ What about Nadia? Doesn't act like a non interventionist to me. Jacob robbed countless characters of any real agency. I sometimes wish the writers were playing 3d chess and he was the villain, but no ....they want us to root for Jacob. It's odd, given how many he killed by causing plane crashes in the name of morality experiments. Still love the show, but Jacob is a giant hypocrite

@@michaelcorcoran8768 I don't think they wanted us to root for Jacob. They wanted us to understand that ultimately he's the lesser of two evils, but he very much is flawed, and this is highlighted by Ben's character, and is precisely why Ben killed him. Because he had been screwed over and essentially forced to do things that he hated in the name of the island and Jacob seemingly didn't even care.

It shouldn't have been surprising to see Desmond back on the island again. Back in Season Five, Eloise Hawking had warned Desmond in L.A. that the island wasn't finished with him yet. I think this has something to do with what happened to him in the Season Two finale. Jacob had told Richard that they WERE NOT in hell.

I dont remember if I already said it, however: Widmore always was an asshole with Desmond, but do you remember when Desmond's mind traveled in time? In the episode "The constant" Desmond ask to Widmore the Penny's address and Widmore helped him. Is not strange? After all the bad things. My theory is that Widmore is not so bad, all his behaviour with Desmond was only to guide him to the island because he know. He knew that he needed a costant to live and he know the Desmond's destiny. If Widmore was good with him, Desmond will never found the island, he never pressed the button. It's my opinion

And when she saw it in episode 7, she went as far as to call Ben "dumb" for not knowing that Locke would come back to life. To see that he didn't come back to life was a slap to her ego. I am watching Mrs Lost reactions as addition to other positive reactions. Most of the time I feel frustrated with her but was so pleased to see her enjoying Sawyer and Juliet. Sometimes when everybody reacts the exact same sweet way about Lost - it just starts to feel all the same, even boring. At that moment such different reaction like Mrs's is a good contrast and something new. She is probably the worst Lost reactor right now but at least she is different. I am all for diversity in all possible ways! And she is a great reactor to Dexter, one of the best. Just my 2 cents. I also like that Mrs can face criticism with no problem, she is taking it gracefully and don't insult people back. And she loves kids. Lost is just not her show, that's all and we should learn to respect it even though we feel so very opposite about it.

As a huge lost fan I’m finding watching mrs movies reactions super super frustrating and cringey. Fair enough if the show isn’t her thing but you’re getting paid to watch it the very least you can do is put in a little more imput rather than saying ‘i don’t know’ and I ‘don’t care’ after every question mr moves asked. The fact she couldn’t even remember what happened in the last episode just proves she doesn’t pay attention to what’s going on so maybe if she did she would understand the show better

She’s getting paid to watch something she doesn’t like. I’m more than positive if she wasn’t getting paid, she would’ve tuned out at the end of Season 2. It’s hard for people to pay attention to something if you’re not invested in it. Even worse, you have no option to not do so because you’re getting paid. It’s turning a joyous activity with her husband into an actual job that weighs on her. “I got to deal with this and that off camera. My husband and our patrons have me watching something that I’ve lost interest in. Now people are getting upset that I’m being me and not putting on a performance that suggests that I care about the thing that they like that I’ve lost interest in.”

Super videos, but I had a feeling Mrs wasn't going to be totally in on LOST tbh. Anyhow, MIB didn't kill Richard because he was a candidate, he wanted to use him as his "loophole" to have someone kill Jacob. After scanning his mind while he was still chained up, he figured he could use Richard's guilt about his wife's death against him to easily manipulate him. As we saw in the Season 5 finale, only the folks Jacob touched became Candidates and Richard wasn't touched until later in this episode. I suppose technically he could have been a Candidate if Jacob hadn't given him immortality for the sole purpose of acting as his "middle man". But thanks for putting in the time to make these vids!

Hurley has the ability to see and hear people from another Universe, he can even see objects from his Universe (something similar could be done by Olivia Dunham from the FRINGE series, from the same JJ Abrahams, other people who saw people from the alternate Universe, believed that they saw a ghost), Hurley interpreted this as seeing ghosts, what he saw was an alternate version of those other people. Desmond could project his consciousness into other versions of himself from another Universe, he temporarily lived within his "other self", in the same way other people could do it, Hurley could see them from his Universe and believe that they were ghosts, this transference of consciousness in another version of themselves, is what happens in the end of the series, Desmond with his ability causes the consciousness of those who went to the island to live in some alternate version of another Universe, that which in the end they believe that it is "heaven" what actually happens is that they will go to an alternate Universe to live their new opportunity, all those who went to the island as candidates.

The never-named Man in Black is not the devil per se, but he's definitely a dark/devil figure. The Island IS Hell for him because he's trapped there. Meanwhile Jacob is a figure of light, but isn't God or even a god; he does sometimes seem to do things that are other than good, although he is something of a God-figure. And if you go back to his first appearance, he is on the beach cooking some fish - which is an allusion to Jesus doing the same after the Resurrection. Jacob clearly has some supernatural power, but he really is more of a prison guard. That seems to be his prime consideration to the extent of sometimes treating people like pawns who can be sacrificed for the greater good.

Mrs Movies will probably start to realize certain things long after finishing Lost. It's one of those type of shows. You sit and think about scenes, and you start to see what was going on. That's how it was for me. I would angrily watch an episode and then later, I would have this spark of realization of what was happening in a particular episode. The show isn't about finding answers, that's all I can say for now, but with the final episode I'll elaborate and maybe Mrs Movies will have an *epiphany* about certain scenes or episodes, and things will start to make sense. I used the word epiphany for a reason. She'll probably understand.

I’m someone who was thoroughly disappointed by season 6 but thought Ab Aeterno was a stone cold classic. If that’s not moving the needle for Mrs. she’s just not coming around. She’s free to feel and think anyway she pleases but I feel like she’s holding back expressing contempt even though we can see it plainly. I wish she’d stop being so blasé and taciturn and really go all out shitting all over the show! If nothing else it would be fun reading the comments. I do love Lost but some of y’all need to deal with it getting knocked off its pedestal by a non-zealot

Just watched a Paul Rudd flick where his teen daughter had a 'Lost' fixation. An Inverse narrative of his Ant-man/Quantum Realm/daughter storyline. Do the Engineers whistle while they work? 🤣

Personally I think Jacob is the Devil. I used to think his statue was Anubis because of this, but he is depicted as Anubis in the chamber under the temple where Ben saw Alex.

Some of you are acting like you didn't have the same reaction watching Lost when it first came out. The show was really bad towards the end. It was convoluted and didn't make sense most of the time. Did most of you forget the backlash of the entire season, especially the finale? It was well justified. Stop having high expectations from someone who has never watched it before when you have seen it multiple times, knowing full well you looked up easter eggs and went deep into the fandom rabbit hole. 😅

Stop acting as if everyone is supposed to accept your view of the show. You're right that the Mrs. deserves to have her own feelings about the series, and especially Season 6. But guess what? Everyone else is also entitled to their feelings about the show. And you're assuming that everyone who had seen the series' finale back in 2010, share your views. There are fans who didn't back in 2010 and there are fans who don't now.

Season 6 was nominated for a bunch of awards. And the finale was warmly received when it first aired. It wasn't until years later where people somehow misinterpreted the ending and started this trend of nonsense.

I loved Lost back when it first aired, including season 6 (5 and 6 have always been my favourite seasons). I didn't even have the internet back then and have never in my life been down a Lost fandom rabbit hole. But I was able to understand and appreciate Lost all on my own without any help.

You're not too analytical. You're analytical. Trying to piece this show together is impossible because they don't do breadcrumbs very well. They leave Easter eggs that only make sense two seasons later. It's a pain when you're paying attention and the majority of the crisscrossing plotlines are in themselves, red herrings. I think I said it back in season 2 or 3 but I'll say it again... This is my FOURTH time watching the series and I still catch stuff I missed. I watched seasons one and two on deployment and they were like fresh air. I caught up and followed the series as best I could. I watched the last season live, WEEKLY and it drove me through the wall. The second time I got it a bit more and the third time I was in a better place in my life so I really understood what the creators were going for. But the first time...no. I hated this show. The fifth and sixth seasons were absolute train wrecks and it was so confusing watching weekly. Come back in a year. Go to a hotel. Try not to drink and binge the whole thing. One, stacation away from rugrats (and cowboys). Two, ultimate enlightenment for what will/has become a very dated show. Or...don't ever come back to it. I have favorite episodes, but overall it's not one of those "I watch the whole thing once a year!" type series for me. That would be "Generation Kill." But I like watching my brothers on TV.
