I believe that the Smoke Monster had been impersonating a lot of people on that island for years - including Christian Shephard, Alex Linus (Rousseau) and John Locke. He can impersonate dead people. Claire didn't have an excuse to murder that man. She did it out of anger and spite. But I keep forgetting that fans of this show have a habit of excusing the crimes of the main characters, unless they are Michael Dawson or Ben Linus.

I’m in awe at how much the Mrs. can’t remember sometimes, but also predicts so many things correctly still. Not predicting anything in this video in particular. Just an add on to a previous comment a couple videos ago about how she gets so much right. She still probably remembers more than I do and predicts way more things correctly than me and this is my second time watching the series. Lol!

Some had wondered if Sayid had given in to evil. I believe he did. The MIB managed to push one of his emotional buttons that led him to toss his morality to the wind . . . getting Nadia back. Just as Ben had pushed his button to get Sayid to become even more of a killer in the name of revenge. And this in turn, led Sayid to give in to evil when he tried to murder a young Ben in 1977. For all of his moralizing and judging, Sayid can be morally bankrupt sometimes. In that regard, he is no different than some of the other characters, including the Oceanic 815 survivors.

An idea just popped into my head… Aaron’s number was 108. Think of it this way, if part of the earlier premise was for everyone to help raise Aaron and he was supposed to be on the island, born on the island with Claire’s goodness. Then because everyone’s numbers added up to 108 (it takes a village to raise a child) then the whole of everyone caring for Aaron was what Jack would have seen. Maybe Aaron was supposed to be the new leader? Not that it makes sense with the whole Jack saving the island and defeating Flock, but maybe Aaron was supposed to be the new Jacob and everyone together was supposed to help raise and guide him. Just my theory.

Notice how Jack and Hurley are the only two people Jacob led away from the temple? It's curious why he chose the two of them specifically and only those two. He clearly knew ahead of time that Fake Locke was heading to the temple and that it could turn into a bloodbath, but he apparently didn't care enough about the rest of his candidates or his followers who were there. I know that Jacob is supposed to be the "good" to FLocke's "bad," but all those sacrifices were cold-blooded. He's definitely treating this conflict like a general at war, not allowing himself to get hung up on collateral damage.

The actor who plays Dogen was the hero of one of my childhood’s tv show : San Ku Kaï, sort of japanese StarWars.
I think Frank was 108, he was supposed to be the pilot for the original flight that crashed in The Island but he eventually made it there on the freighter, and back again on 316. Mr. Eko, had the actor stayed with the show, would've been my other guess.

Maybe! I always thought Jacob was 108, 108 being all the candidates combined! Jacob knew Jack would never get as far as 108 to see what was there, it was always the plan for Jack to destroy it. Jacob was against just telling people what they needed to know, he liked them to work it out for themselves so he never wanted Jack to see what was at 108

See, the problem is, The Mrs. prides herself on her ability to solve the mystery, and deduce how all the pieces go together. Unfortunately, Lost cant "be solved" like that. It intentionally leaves pieces out, puts them in different orders, sleight of hands things, so you constantly are guessing and questioning what is happening. And when you are literally given a puzzle without all the pieces, and they throw in a few random pieces from other puzzles for the hell of it, I can see how for someone like her, this is frustrating at times. It's a shame, because if she could turn off the Sherlock Holmes part of her brain, I think she would get so much more out of the show.

Also one other thing: I think, the way the Mr. keeps feeding her with questions has been godawful for like a very long time now. The show asks enough questions for itself. It would be much rather helpful, if he suggestively discussed HER thoughts about things with her and tried to answer a few things, keeping it speculative but serious without spoiling anything. Yet he does it the worst way imaginable, because he always pairs his suggestive questions with sarcasm. Sarcasm! For LOST! THE prime time DRAMA show #1 back then. I´m sorry, but I think sarcasm and Lost don´t pair quite well. Especially for first time viewers...

A lot of people like the character stories better than the island mythology, so no problem with the Mrs's reactions. Plus Lost kinda requires a rewatch to see how all the mysteries fit together, and I'm sure with the growth of your channel that won't happen any time soon. One thing that might help is to think of the island itself as a character. Seasons 1-4 focus on human characters, 5-6 focuses on the island complete with flashbacks and character arcs.

Jacob observed the candidates and their lives from the lighthouse, not through time, but in all possible universes, infinite alternative realities, the young Jacob is a Jacob from another universe, who could observe what was happening in that Universe, in particular, that's why he told the Black Man who used the image of John "you can't change the rules" "you can't kill him", he meant that he couldn't kill the "candidates" with his bare hands, they should die by the hands of others, as happened with Jacob from that Universe at the hands of Benjamin. In the theory of the Multiverse, there can be infinite similar Universes, and some that are out of phase in time in relation to others, what has already happened in some, in another it is just happening at that very moment, that is why it is believed that they move in time lines, when in reality they move between multiple universes.
