If De Zerbi gets announced as our next manager, then we will officially 100% become Chelsea and Hove Albion aka Brighton 2.0. The owners knew many fans may not accept De Zerbi if mentioned directly so they created a shortlist where all other managers were worse than him. Great Politicians Clearlake Capital and BlueCo. Also Juventus once qualified for the Europa Conference League but they forfeited from playing the tournament that season in order to avoid UEFA FFP and a europe ban in their next season. Imagine Chelsea getting knocked out by these unknown less-reputed teams we will become the biggest laughing stock in the PL from UEFA Champions League winners 2 years ago to then not even winning this third class UEFA Europa Conference league.

I actually love what they are doing and believe it’s the only way to beat City long term. But that’s assuming they plan on keeping all the best young talent and not flipping them. They have been decimated by injuries and European football! RDZ style will get the best out of his wingers: LW Mitoma:22/23 - 14 G&A Adingra:23/24 - 7 G&A RW Solly March:22/24 - 14 G&A Buonanotte:23/24 - 4 G&A LB Estupinan replaced by a CB Igor. Double pivot:22/23 Mac Allister & Caicedo 23/24 Groß & Gilmour or Baleba. Also Colwill and Dunk made a better pair of CB's than Dunk and Webster. RDZ lost quality and experience all over the pitch so finishing 11th isn't terrible under these circumstances!

i think maresca is the guy. pep protege, has worked w joe shields, and worked with a few players too. operates in a system that was similar to what worked for us in the last 5 games of the season. hope it’s him, wouldn’t be so upset w de zerbi tho.

Imo its been De Zerbi for months. Even when that initial candidate list came out, i still thought it would end up as De Zerbi. The only part that bothers me is it is restart #3 under this board and top of the blatant PR, BS and spoke screens from the board on the “process”.

I would say the one dimensional tag is quite harsh because one we don’t call Klopp or Pep one dimensional or even Mourinho. You know exactly what you’re gonna get with them and that’s that. Only difference is they have trophies but when Klopp was in Germany he wasn’t rated world class like he is now, people really only started saying that when he got to Liverpool and won. Jose was a maverick and so was pep but they both only have one style and one style only

I think you mixed it up, Poch was quiet because the results warranted utter silence and shame, then when he turned a corner he started having a bounce and started speaking but at that point it was already over seeing he once admitted to not speaking to the owners for 2 months

What De Zerbi team look like: A ball playing GK(we might not have one..Bento or D.Costa?) An inverted LB(Cucu?) A forward progressing RB(that's Reece or Malo all day) Two ball playing CB's(Colwill and Fofana) Two pivots one that sits deep and can tackle and progress the ball forward(Caicedo) Another who can find passes through the lines(Enzo all day) Also we have Lavia who is great at tackling and progressing the ball and press resistant. A wide LW to hold the width (Mudryk or Nkunku) De Zerbi's LW gets a lot of room to explore which would be ideal for a Mudryk's pace but also Nkunku would cook in that scenario! A RW that inverts (Palmer all day or Olise if he comes) A nr 10 that is creative (that's Palmer or Nkunku) A striker that drops deep to help with the build up(Jackson is great at that but a bad finisher so dare i say Sesko?...he fits that role and is far more clinical) We have what De Zerbi needs both in our starting 11 and on the bench in abundance! We will also do some transfers this summer so i think they'll get this right finally! The clear out from the Roman era has made a mess that took a bit too long to sort out because we had many mercenaries and Potter couldn't discipline them so we turned to a disciplinarian in Poch who did that and brought stability in the locker room whoever both on 2018 at Spurs and 2022 at PSG players have expressed frustration with the heavy training session that led to multiple injuries!

If we compare tactics where poch got is 5 straight wins .Enzo Maresca play the same system as well with an inverted left back or right back .so if chelsea pick Enzo Maresca the players would be picking up where they left off . But the big question mark is does he have great personality like poch

De zerbi is a much better manager than poch. Watch a few videos on his history and style of management and youll be impressed. The downside is that if these owners dont allow him to recruit the players he needs then we wont go far. But that goes for most managers

If this ownership tries to sell Palmer that would be the final straw. At that point it would be impossible for them to say that this is a process about winning and not just flipping footballers. They spent too much money on this club just to become a club that flips players for profits. Those sort of clubs are worth 400 million to 1 billion tops. They would lose too much in the value of the club for that to ever be profitable .My belief is they will keep the best for the “ winning process” and flip those that they feel aren’t good enough.
