We need to normalize gray because it has nothing to do with age and is way more common than we think!

I started going grey noticeably around 39. I'm nearly 41 and dye my hair often. I love how fresh I feel after I colour it and although I dint have an issue with anyone else going grey...I've decided I love the glossy...rich colour far to much and it makes me feel good. I’m 36. As a natural dark brunette, I had wanted to be platinum blonde most of my life. A few years ago, I stopped getting my hair bleached and “accepted” being a brunette. Then shortly after, I noticed a ton of white hairs. Now, I’m over 60-70% white/silver on the top of my head with it spread more sparsely through the rest of my hair. I started doing temp dyes but I just can’t keep up with the maintenance and it’s really knocked my self esteem. I’m already unable to work due to health issues, and that is beyond hard enough but now my appearance is also making me lose so much confidence at my age. I’m hoping to find a way to (cheaply) blend my white/silver hair with my natural so I can embrace my hair color turning white at such a young age and also not have such harsh lines of demarcation. (I’ve let it just grow out with no temp colors for almost two years now though)

My hair started going gray when I was 17. At 37, I stopped covering it with hair dye. I'm 40 now and am quite happy with not coloring it. Have you thought about doing a video on natural gray hair styling, or even a video on women who purposely dye their hair gray/silver?

Until I was 36 o 37 I had like 15 white hairs total in my whole head, that I had perfectly located and dealt with them by parting. But then, whitening accelerated, now I'm almost 39 and I think I'll be almost a 10-15% white right now. I actually don't care going silver-white. This is the way it has to be. They're not visible unless you're really close to my hair and I know people at my age have considerably more white hairs than I do. Plus, I'm a level 6-7 and they look like highlights, mostly around the face.

You could try getting a semi permanent or Demi permanent colour to freshen up at home between visits

re: preventing or slowing Grey Hair. Grey hair can be caused or accelerated by Copper Deficiency. I just read that recently b/c I had a friend with Crohn's who became severely Copper Deficient. His hair turned grey at a young age.

Brown hair has a lot of red undertones. I know because my hair is medium brown with red undertones. I was told by a hair colorist to use ash brown hair color to take out the red undertones. Just saying. 😊

Very pretty color. Only problem with continuing to dye your roots dark, is it's a never ending battle. Damaging over time and expensive. Also, difficult and pricey over time if you want to go light. I dyed my hair dark brown for years (I grayed early), and kept getting that "skunk streak" line every 4-5 wks (my hair grows fast). So, I decided to go much lighter. I've spent nearly 2k this past year to go more blonde (should be there by spring/summer) and the grey roots aren't as noticeable when they grow out (thank you balayage and highlights!). End the headaches, ladies. Ditch the dark brown and go lighter! 😁

Grey hair tends to be a bit coarser, that's why most grey formulas use 20 volume instead of 10 to pen the cuticle more to deposit the color.

I can not use a clip less curling iron without hurting myself. Can you do a video explaining with wand curling irons are so popular, if there are looks you can get only by using one, and if I have to figure out how to use one safely or, if it’s ok to use the clip kind, because you can use them the same. Please do a video on tips how to transition from natural blond hair to gray gradually. I'm in my eary 30s. I have natural strawberry blond hair. Pretty thin hair but a fair amount of it. Stick straight and soft. I'm getting a fair white hairs mosty around my hairline. It's gotten to the pint that it looks like white highights abouve my ears. Women in my family historically have gone white not gray pretty early in their lives. To be honest I'm looking forward to this time so I can play with pastel colours etc. However I's like to make a transition from strawberry blond (almost a readhed on second and third day hair) to this white as smooth as possible. I'd like to do it without damaging my oretty healthy hair in the process too. I've searched interned hight and low an all I can find is how to make transition from dying you hair to letting it grow out to gray less noticeably, with highlights lowlights babylights bleaching etc. But NOTHING on hw to transition from natural to grey. Nooooo.... keep going with the blonde. Lol. I've been in the process for a year, and I'm almost there! Once you achieve your blonde, greys won't be as noticeable. I got impatient years ago when I was first trying to transition from dark brown to blonde. Gave up and went dark brown again. Big mistake and I regretted it. Now I'm a year (and nearly 2k) in, with corrective coloring, bleaching, etc., and learned a valuable (and expensive lesson). Light hair is the friend of greys. 😁

Hi Silvia, I am having problems coloring my brown hair at root area. It is about this color but when I cover the grey it immediately pulls red tone and the rest is nicely ash brown. I dont suit the warm brown. Should I use 5NN or do you recommend another color for hair that pulls red too much? I was also gray at a surten age. I began in my teens. And when i was 21 i was 50% gray and now with 28 i am gray all around. I need to dye it every 4 weeks. Because It grows very fast. I’m greying this bad and I’m 25, also have never dyed my hair in my life. I guess it’s time😭

I feel you girl its horrible, its the only thing I'm self conscious about :( I am 27 and 20-25% grey so I just cut them out. I have dark brown hair and hate how it goes when its dyed, it goes brassy so be careful dying your hair. Have you tried just cutting the greys out? I think that's the best way tbh

@@georgina9842 yes I usually pluck them out but it’s getting out of control 😭 I’m about 25% also but it’s greying where I part my hair but no where else. I see so many ways to dye hair gray away for girls with brown hair but idk which method to go with 😭

@@kianaontiveros9169 I get you. Maybe grow them out a little more and get a semi permanent dye done, see if you like it and if you do you could always go and get permanent. I am in the same situation as you. Thinking of growing them out as they're growing where I part my hair.. which is horrible coz I don't want anyone to notice! Maybe we'll just have to wear hats for a month and then go dye it and hope for the best!!!

I use 66/0 of Wella perfect but I mix 50/50 with 6/3…100% grey. Would 66/0 be too flat?

Got my first grey hair at 17, now I'm 20 (soon 21) and I feel so unconfident... I'm afraid to show my siblings and mom that I have grey hairs. Im afraid they will judge me, even though my brother got his first grey hairs in his twenties. I'm not scared that strangers will judge me. My nieces christening is coming soon, and I'm thinking of all the possible ways to cover my grey hairs, ways I don't have to spend so much money

my hair is black and i have lots of white hairs i will use these 2 products on my hair thanks. i just want to know if i can use that in all my hair? my hair is black and i want it to stay that color i have white long hairs going all the way down to my tips i do have long hair
