I started watching occasionally in 80 as a child and regularly in 82,i loved all the characters, especially terry lester as the original jack,and the whole entire Abbott family.i loved all the characters and storylines,it definitely was the best overall soap opera 80s,90s and just every character was great,danny,cricket, nina,phillip, katherine, jill ,all the newmans and Abbotts.

I still regret being hired at a new job while drama was unfolding. Paul's dad was a cop, and for some reason Paul joined the mob to eventually help his dad. Of course, Paul had to be believable as a mobster, so his dad was very hurt by his apparent descent into crime. Never found out how that turned out.

+Patricia Williams I recall Victor & Ashley started to get involved, matter of fact they had kissed each other in the Chancellor mansion (I think Kay had the party) on New Year's Eve 1984. I was able to catch that episode, because we were on xmas/new years vacation (from high school) for two weeks. I lost track of the show, do to the fact I was back in school, but around spring time (spring break 1985), I did catch a few episodes. If memory serves me well, I thiink Ashley had another nervous breakdown (the first one was due to John Abbott not being her father) do to fact she was pregnant with Victor's child and lost it (I think?).

Happy New Year .. Sure wish I could find someone who had some videos of when my mom (Stage name Bond Gideon) was on Young & Restless in 1980 as the second Jill Foster. An ex boyfriend of hers ripped off all my moms VHS videos in Hollywood that at the time were an actors resume. Tory TT

Tory, I have vivid memories of your Mom's great take on Jill Foster. She played Jill during Liz and Stuart's wedding and she shared the first scenes with Brett Halsey, the first actor to play John Abbott. She did a great job. I am also looking for some clips of your Mom playing Jill. If I find any, I will post them.

Hey there Alex. I have been married to Bond for close to 30 years now. Ive been trying to find anyone who might have an old VHS tape from the time she was the second Jill Foster in 1980. She also landed a regular role as Lt Clair Reid on Operation Petticoat where she became friends with Melinda Naud and Jamie Lee Curtis. Dorie Thomson unfortunately passed away in January last year. Anyway Tory is now out in LA having graduated from UT in Austin and is finding her way as a SAG actress in LA and was recently in Linklater's "Everybody Wants Some" She is also a talented singer and musician with lots of her original music up on KZbin and was on American Idol Season 13. We've found episode from Season 1 on Operation Petticoat as well as Blanskeys Beauties but keep hoping to find a video to share with Tory of her mother on Y&R. During that time she became good friend with David Hasselhof and somewhere around here we have an old audio demo tape he gave Bond. So if you at anyone else out knows someone who might have some old VHS tape they might have converted over to DVD let me know . Thanks
