"I went to my local Culver’s on my lunch break from work to get some food, and while I was waiting for my meal, I noticed the oddly young worker. I decided to record the workers that were behind the counter for about 5 seconds just because I thought that it was interesting that someone so young can be working a regular job."

@@justkibby5959 Depends on the state. In California the youngest you can be is 15 I think, and you have to have a permit. In states like Utah though you can be as young as 14 and get a fast food job.

I babysat starting at age 9 and got a custodial job after school at the elementary I went to at age 13 and bought my own school clothes and whatever else I wanted or needed. During the summer I I worked in a flower shack making flower arrangements on the the side of the road making good money for a 14-15 year old teenager and was very proud of myself it’s a great confidence builder! By the time I was 19 I was co owner of a concrete business building foundation’s for houses, I’m now 56 years old and retired and enjoying my 7 grand babies!!❤️❤️😊

Yes, Culver’s is a franchise. Every store with a different owner, sometimes one owner with multiple franchisee’s. 16 years is the minimum age for working at most Culver’s but a few allow as young as 14 in certain states. I’m almost positive that she’s the owners 10-12 year old daughter that is maybe working as a punishment, because they were short staffed or for their own financial gain during the summer months such as: allowances or other pay from parents (owner), if, legally they cannot be hired under the age of 16 at that certain Culver’s franchise.

This is why I quit working at Culver’s. I worked at a store that was brand new. For weeks we had experienced helpers from stores in neighboring towns. Then the day came when we were on our own. I found myself surrounded by 14-16 year old people who couldn’t fight their way out of a wet paper bag. I grabbed my stuff and snuck out of there.
