Tom, you tripping was why I watch and love your videos! No, not because I want to see someone hurt themselves, but it is very refreshing to watch someone post true, unedited or sanitized videos. You show your mistakes and you take ownership and then move on. Your parents must be very proud of the amazing man they raised.

Ok Tom ...What never takes a holiday? Glad you included the falls as it shows you just mustn't rush things and try to do too many things at once as that's how accidents happen. Children's "slippy slides" are made of wet plastic for a reason! That head-but on the scaffolding poles looked VERY painful and you were lucky not to have a serious injury. Be careful...you can't please everyone and do your proper job.

Tom, if you were to place a couple of horizontal steels from clamp to clamp at some point in the future you could place a few pallets to hold the sandbags you use on them and therefore keep them out of the weather and not 'stored' in a pile somewhere wet. As for the accidents, it teaches us all why farming is considered to be one dangerous place to be.

100%
@patpierce48542 жыл бұрын
That’s a really good idea. The horizontal bars would need to be removable though,so the clamp can be filled, and then covered.

Tom, that waste looks like a bit of soil or gravel from the yard has been brought into the pit. I'm guessing that the last few loads were tipped out on the gravel. The soil will have contained bad bacteria (Clostradia et al) which will set in and kill off all the good Bacteria (which produce lactic acid). Hence its at the front of your pit. Your planned concrete slab will sort that right out 😁 Also hope your shin is alright. and the steel pipe you hit isn't too bent.

If you put like some plastic of previous years on the sides and back end of the silage clamp before you're putting in the grass and so you'll have the sides air thight so even the sides wont be moldy anymore. If Thom doesn't get it I will explain it better.

Ouch, that shin knock reminded me of when I put myself in front of a 70 lb German Shepherd mix going as fast as she could run along a fenceline (overly engaged with the neighbor's demon of a dog) and she wolloped me in my left shin. Lucky I didn't fracture it, but it was sore for weeks (the bruise was psychedelic colors) and I had a lump over the spot for a very long time. I hope the gash healed up ok. I'm someone who tends to have arguments with gravity as well - and mostly lose - so you have my sympathy with all the hazards you encounter working on your farm. Thanks for the awesome content (besides the slips and falls)!
