All the cool Flash origin stuff, the lightning strike, the figuring out powers, even trying on the red suit in the ring, and it was all used as jokes. Yes, there is a live action show that takes the origin more seriously, but I'd always wanted to see it in a big time movie and I felt a bit robbed watching the movie take so little of that stuff seriously in the theater. It's balanced out a bit by the emotion the Barries share when it comes to Nora Allen and the Supergirl material had potential, but I wanted more.
