It's been a while since we brought the "Young Guns" along on a ride, so we got them out for a nice loop up through Death Valley National Park and home through Kernville for a great weekend of riding. In this episode, we leave home base in Los Angeles, and make our way to Beatty Nevada for the night for some fun miles, epic views, and some small town eats! Although there was a crash on the way up, everyone was ok, and we all had an awesome ride out there!

There are 4 things that contribute to hypothermia. Temperature, humidity/moisture, wind chill and duration. You can get hypothermia at 70 degrees if have the right combination of these 4 things. I always carry a windbreaker on my bike just in case I have wear it under my jacket to keep the air or water out. Keeping your torso warm will almost always prevent hypothermia. Great group of guys. Good looking bikes. Wish I was there.

I hope Josh is ok that CVO looked bad prayers and best wish's. Things can go real bad real fast be careful in your travels. I love that special time when the sun comes up and when it is just about to go down is just a very special time I try to stop and catch that time as much as I can it's free and we only have so much time to be here to enjoy the ride!

Winter time now, cold, Great time to enjoy your videos which you guys do a great job with. This trip just popped up.We came thru Death Valley last year and was amazed at the 2 Big senic mnts, the to Lake Isabel and Kernville. We went to the Saddle sore saloon in Glenville- great. Simply we weren’t filming at that specific time. Josh made an evasive maneuver, caught some gravel and laid the bike down. We’re just glad he’s good.

Hi, good wishes to Josh. Burst trousers can be easy replaced. Reason for the accident was barrier (stone, pothole, gravel) on the road. Right? He had to brake and pull an evasive maneuver and hit a patch of gravel in the road while doing so, causing him to slide out. Stuff happens

Fifty degrees is not cold, BUT include the fact you are probably traveling at seventy or seventy five and the wind chill will be thirty eight.

To each his own, but I could never ride is large groups like this. For those that do, ride on, and enjoy. In my humble opinion, the perfect riding group is 2 or 3. That's it. Or just do solo. Ride on fellas.

What the hell happened to the CVO? Did he fall asleep at the bars? (Edit...I saw the posts below...Shit happens on the road) I am glad that he is Okay! I ride a Yamaha FJR 1300A Sport Tourer...Fast as hell on wheels, not a Harley, but I am not a Harley hater, I wave at everybody. Anybody on two wheels are my friends! Again, I love the camaraderie between you and Lance...Reminds me of my best friend and riding partner Kelly E...He won't even stay in a hotel room with his own brother, only me...He makes him get his own room (lol)! We are planning a big trip to Montana this summer....It has been a long winter up here in the Pac-Northwest, and we are looking forward to summer trips this year. I have planned for approximately 10,000 miles over the next 5 months!

I've been riding my Dyna every day I can up here in the mountains of Colorado at 9000 feet elevation, no side bags, no windshield. Yesterday I rode in 41F weather and was toasty warm, all except my finger tips. I had an insulated jump suit, a heated vest, insulated boots, full face helmet. I'm getting to the point where my sissy bar bags are all full of winter gear and rain gear LOL. Gotta ride in the weather if you want to be prepared before you ride with a group. I'm thinking if I get some heated gloves I'd be comfortable riding in sub zero weather, I just don't ride when there is snow or ice on the ground, I learned my lesson on that one LOL.

Looks like you've got all the right gear! Those jumpsuits are killer! We wore some insulated dickies jumpsuits our last time through the area when it was ~20 degrees and they kept us nice and toasty. These guys are drinking at every gas station, so it's no surprise they don't want to talk about the wreck. Drinking and driving is the reason thousands of riders die each year, and it's not necessarily riders drinking, but cagers. Also there is a guy on his phone texting while riding. There is a reason they haven't spoke about the crash until nearly two years later...

Unfortunately we put 15 hours of filming in 20 minutes. We ride with risk when filming and the wreck had nothing to do with drinking. We don’t ride drunk, and yes we may have a beer here and there. When we get to what you mainly see we are parked. Thanks for you comment and we appreciate your concern.

Looks to me like he had a wheelie going and came down so hard he sheared the front axle. Insurance company is going to be able to figure out exactly what happened. His rates are going to skyrocket. Glad he’s ok. It’s your ride and your video but I wish you guys would tone it down a notch or two.

a week from yesterday, we will be dropping a video with a better explanation of what happened as well as learned takeaways from the incident. There was no video of the spill. It'll be at the end of the video next week of riding through Death Valley as we stop on HWY190 where it happened.
