Relationships & active addiction usually don't work. However, my husband & I met in our addiction and got clean together. We both celebrated 7 years clean in March 2024. It's not common, but it's possible if you both want it. We also.werent have know that brings a whole fifteenth set of challenges, but even then, if you want to get clean, you can.

I used to be best friends with her. She always enjoyed partying. Started dating someone that sold drugs and got hooked. Really sad because she used to work with me grooming dogs. She had such a sweet and kind soul. Loved animals and people. She loved playing the guitar and singing. Googled her to see where she was in life and these videos came up. It’s crazy seeing everyone judging her when they don’t know her and what her life actually was before.

Its 2x as hard to get clean while in a relationship. If the partner flakes on a program 90% chance youll follow. One of the hardest decisions i had to make when i got clean was leaving my GF of 4 years. Im almost 9 years clean now. You can do it. dont give up on your family thats struggling.
