That final line is one of my favorite cliffhangers because the potential for what they did is both fascinating and horrifying to imagine. Also Rocket was not acting "chummy" with the rest of the team, the majority of her lines were questioning what was happening lol. The finale is a great one, but buckle up bc S2 is something else.

Auld Lang Syne is a poem by Scottish poet Robert Burns. It basically translates to "Old Long Since" and is about commemorating the past, which is why it is sung to close out the previous year at the stroke of midnight on Hogmanay (New Years Eve)

From what I understand, the reason that Rocket wasn't introduced earlier is actually a little complicated. Icon and Rocket are from the Dakotaverse, a set of characters that were originally owned by Milestone Media (a seperate comic company, another hero you might know from them is Static Shock). Those characters were acquired by DC, but as part of the agreement there are some restrictions on when and where the characters can appear in various media. The showrunners wanted to use her from the beginning, but weren't permitted to until the end of season one. At which point they just decided to put her in even if it felt a little sudden. At this point I believe DC can use them however they see fit.

One of the things I thought was cool about the show's main villain, Vandal Savage, is that when he got hit with a Canary Cry here, he was only driven back a few steps, while Green Lantern was straight-up sent flying across the room into a pillar with enough force to cave it in. It's subtle things like that which show you how powerful Vandal is. Not only that, but immediately afterwards, Vandal freakin' walked up to a tornado attack from Red Tornado *_with his hands behind his back_* and then blocked it with ease. He just pulled a Darkseid there. More than that, they full-on stated in this episode that, Vandal Savage and Chaos Lord Klarion the Witch Boy, those two alone could take on and defeat *_EVERY SINGLE ONE_* of the heroes at once. And the only reason they didn't is that Klarion would've ended up losing control and killing all of them, and the Light still needs the Justice League alive. As Savage himself said, the reason why the Justice League has been the biggest bother to his plans in 50,000 years isn't that he can't take them out (because he _can_ take them out), but rather what they represent and have inspired: an age of heroes that has caused mankind to stagnate its own "glorious evolution" in favour of leaving everything to these heroes who would protect them from everything. In order to overturn that and ensure that Earth takes its place as the dominant force in the universe, Vandal and his group, the Light, need to make use of the very perpetrators of this societal state, the Justice League, rather than kill them. Also, Chris made a pretty good comparison between Savage and Salem from RWBY.

Season 2 is good, but that’s because it’s main issues are in what’s not included rather than what’s in it. An entire season or two could be done during the time jump. It feels like a show reboot cause so many key characters are no longer involved and so many unknown characters are given key roles without earning it

Actually Rocket was intended to join the team from the start. She was shown in multiple cameos(dunno if I spelled that right) through out the show like with the Injustice League when her and Icon were helping the League take care of the giant vines and in the episode where the adults and children were separated she helped fill up the shelters. She was mostly shown in cameos to bring attention to her and then she ended up joining in the 25th episode and it was a wild ride as her first day as a member of the team. At least from what I remember.

I like that each member of the Team played some part in directly taking down their mentor. Like this whole thing started because they wanted to be equal, didn't want to be viewed as less than or sidekicks and it kind of shows that they are equal. Maybe not in terms of raw power but they've definitely proven they're ready for the big Leagues over this season. And imo S2 is even better!

At least at first then they accelerated the time around episode 9 and it was no looking back from there.
