you can definitely hear a little "Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking" in there...

“Deep down next to his heart In the inside pocket of his cheap leather jacket He secretly fingers A dog-eared card that read Ooh, I need a dirty woman Ooh, I need a dirty girl” That part goes so hard lmfao

You staggered away from those desperate days Leaving of a trail of fear and degradation Went downtown, he loitered around In front of the flea pit by the railway station Deep down next to his heart In the inside pocket of his cheap leather jacket He secretly fingers A dog-eared card that read Ooh, I need a dirty woman Ooh, I need a dirty girl [Verse 2] A beautiful girl looked down from the wall In a grimy frame beside the next attraction He hid in the queue with his tongue hanging out Staring up in silent admiration Deep down near my heart In the early hours from the lost world in the silver screen And the silent scream Ooh, I need a dirty woman Ooh, I need a dirty girl

Roger wanted a sped up version - the same reason the demo of Comfortably Numb wasn't on the album.

If anyone needs anymore proof that Waters needed Dave, they Can find it here 😄

You may start a war pal... I'll back you up. Waters is my favorite writer, but... Gilmour is my favorite guitar player and singer. Well... Good thing they met !

Sería algo ilógico decir que no lo necesitaba, Waters lamentablemente no tía voz, cantaba muy poco, aún sin tener voz el gran talento que tenía lo hizo explotar la poca voz que tenía en unas canciones de la banda

Same. David doesn’t do hammer ons very often. Nice to hear him vary it up.

Doesn't feel the same without the abrupt jump from Empty Spaces

This would have been great as a reprise later on in the album like they did with In The Flesh?.

I feel like the only person that likes the final versions wayyyyyyyyyy better than these demos. Don’t get me wrong, Roger brought some FANTASTIC work to the table, but the final product is one of the greatest albums of all time in my opinion. Kinda like Pete Townshend’s Quadrophenia Demos. Fantastic by itself, but the final product is stuff for the ages.

I agree the final product is truly fantastic but they lyrics in this song are fun to listen too

I mean, that's why there the finals. They're the creme De la creme of the recordings.
