Fabulous movie about Abraham Lincoln. Hope to see more classic movies like this one. Thank you who ever showed this movie.

Henry Fonda was not just a great actor he was an amazing human being, he always had black men in his movies doing something that made his movies more real because they were doing things in the old west too.

Lincoln's history will always be part of the United States and politics should be about people's needs rather than self interests. Donald Trump too, is now part of America's political history and more pages to be added. I love classic movies and Henry Fonda was a great actor.

Please don't compare Trump to Abraham Lincoln.
@irinaki20119 күн бұрын
@@MrRobster1234comparing two presidents is not wrong as long as it’s their works and achievements you’re comparing and not their personalities and characters, considering the time lapse and the political complexity of that time that is completely different from the political complexity and challenges of Trump’s time. President Lincoln succeeded and let’s hope that President Trump will follow Lincoln footsteps!

Even this isn't real, they are making him out to be some big macho bruser, tough guy, joker, a character of the man--even the things he said were part of his political agenda, were in fact not, central bank and all that, these were ideals being sold to the people of this era. Watch out for the stories you believe that come from movies.

He wasn't even born yet in 1776. Not for another like 35ish years. Remember he was president during the Civil War 1861-65.

Most of the veterans of the Revolutionary War of 1776 would be around 67 - 75 in 1837, the year he entered law practice in Springfield IL. It's funny how the movie producers picked older men to portray the War of 1812 soldiers than they picked for the Rev. War (the Parade Scene). 😆🤔 Loved the movie anyway!
@edition-deluxe3 күн бұрын
@@bonniemoerdyk9809 If they were born in 1776 they'd be 61. Your number 67 means they were 6 years old and 75 means they were 14, still probably a little young for most soldier activities. Lincoln himself was born in 1809, nearly 35 years after the war.

All you need to see is "Directed by John Ford". You're about to see an exceptional film. Ford started his career making silent Westerns and epics at Fox in the 1910's. Henry Fonda gets the Ford touch here.

The President Abe Lincoln, ran for office 10 times , his victory was the greatness of the United States, he understood that the people of America to grow into a great nation must be open to all people , with the common desire too grow and prosper , to respect all to form alliances with other countries, the importance of education, and Health, and a man of God from his heart to glow out to others.

Lying Trump is a disgrace and will be judged as one of the worst President's in history. Both terms. Do NOT even attempt to think he compares with one of the greatest Americans in our history. Honest Abraham Lincoln. Trump and his followers are idiots and an embarrassment and will bring our country to a level that will take years to rebuild. He's a pest, con man, and a felon. Never should have been elected. Both terms. 😢

Lincoln and Darwin were born the same day in 1809.

That's crazy, and it means Darwin was only 30 when Voyage of the Beagle came out, so he had already taken that multi year journey, drew all his conclusions and wrote all 4 volumes! Most people these days haven't even moved out of their parents basements, lol.

A total hollywoodization of Lincoln. He was no big bruser, joke telling wild card, nor did he just read a few pages of Blackston's Commentary and become a lawyer. It was pretty good to have on in the background while I'm flattening a hand plane across the room!
